How do you be a good aunty on a low budget?! I can't spoil with gifts all the time

Idk how to be a good aunty other than really be interested and get to know my nieces and nephews, I think I'm good at that but I don't show up with gifts or money all the time. Idk. I feel bad like I'm not doing enough. I'm a single mom on low income but I still provide so much and everything for my son. I just am not showy or financially well-off and I kinda feel ashamed compared to the other aunties in the family

Kids don’t really care about money they care more about memories and good times, take them for a picnic at the park, get a tuff tray and invite them over to do experiments or fun things those are the sort of things they will remember more

The kids will appreciate you playing with them more than any gift! Bring some books from the library of you want to share something special with them. Or cheap fun like staking solo cups or solo cup bowling or bubbles or stickers or homemade play dough if you want to spend a little. Sitting down with them and showing them how to draw things. Coloring with them. Little things can be big memories for kids.

My sister doesn’t really buy my daughter anything. If she does it’s not toys or games is stuff she needs like clothing, shoes or something for school. What she does is spend time with her, play with her make a big fuss about being with her. So much so that as soon as you mention her name my daughter lights up and gets so excited. They do chalk drawing outside, painting/colouring, chasing each other, feeding the cats, sticking temp tattoos on and lots of other random stuff. It’s not about what you buy them it’s what you do with them. My daughter is 7

I don’t buy gifts for my nephew unless it’s Xmas or birthday. I have done things like include him on outings with the kids though and I hope he has good memories of the summer holidays where we had him stay for a week as we live by the beach.

I’m so pissed idk what to do I don’t want to call police

My husband has been saying is too tired to do anything and on the weekend he gets annoyed when I ask him to me and my daughter out. He always complains and when he comes home he wants time alone. It bugs me cause he hardly spend any time with our daughter.. anyways today I said we should walk to the store near by to get groceries but told him he should go alone with our daughter cause I already walked to the store earlier and been with our daughter all day. And he got so mad saying he wants me to walk with him and he wouldn’t have agreed to walking if he knew I wasn’t going to go. Anyways he slammed the door and left. I got a text saying how he’s upset and he’s taking note of this and he is going to take his time to come back home. That was at 4:45pm.. it’s now 6pm. He turned off his location. He won’t answer my texts and calls go straight to voicemail… I’m panicking… it’s getting cold and dark out.. idk where he went. His car is still here… I’m beyond pissed and if he doesn’t come home soon I’m calling the
Police. My trust is broken right now..

Feeling Pressure to Spend Time with Partner's Family Postpartum

I'm 3 months postpartum and my partner expects me to spend more time with his family when he's not there because he's working.
There have been comments made from his mum to him and then passed on to me that they expected me to make more of an effort with them. Honestly, it's overwhelming and added pressure and awkwardness. I get on with them fine but the relationship feels forced and they are coming to see the baby and not for me, am I wrong for not wanting this? My partner and i had a argument because he doesnt understand how its fine for my family to visit, i tried to explain the dynamics are different and as much as my family want to see the baby they come to visit to check in and give support to me! Has anyone else dealt with these expectations, and how did you handle it?
I now feel awkward, pressured and alot of guilt on my shoulders because they're 'not seeing the baby enough to bond'. Now cant get it out of my mind and want to see if I am in the wrong for not wanting them over much and prefer to keep it to when my partner is around.

Litter box

Has anyone else had an issue with getting their partner to clean the litter. I have to put on gloves and a mask/ scrub my arms after. I don’t want to risk making my baby blind. He will tell me he doesn’t think anything would happen. He says it’s a ploy by doctors to laugh at men cleaning the litter box. I’m stumped and feel as though he could do this one thing

Does anyone else nurse during Mass?

I haven’t received any dirty looks or been told anything about it but to keep my 9 week old quiet I nurse. So, we don’t have to go into the cry room I nurse him with a nursing cover. I just haven’t seen anyone else nurse during Mass.
