Breast milk

Did anyone have a problem thawing breast milk and their baby wanting to take it? I have so much in my feeezer we had to buy a third freezer and she is 7.5 months old. I don’t know what I am going to do with all this milk if she won’t take it

Use it for her. Breastmilk has a lot of great uses. Like you can add it to her food when she starts on purees. And it also helps with preventing colds during the cold seasons if im not mistaken. You'll just have to do a bit of research on it

Some women have an enzyme or something that makes defrosted milk taste an odd way. It happened to me with my first. What I did was I mixed fresh and frozen milks. He started drinking it - I did 50/50

You might have high lipase, it causes the milk to taste soapy after freezing/thawing. You just have to scald the milk before freezing to avoid it. This does slightly alter the immunologic benefits, but not enough to make a big difference. You can also try mixing 50/50 fresh and frozen. I've heard some people have success with an immediate ice bath directly after pumping and then deep freezing immediately.
I've had it with all my babies, thankfully they've all just been ok drinking it anyway, but it seems like it's about 50/50 on whether a baby will drink it or not.

Likely high lipase. Aside from mixing with fresh milk, you can try a couple drops of alcohol free vanilla flavoring to try and make it more appealing. That’s what we had to do for my daughter.

Any future milk that gets frozen make sure to freeze as soon as it’s pumped if you know it’s going to be frozen. The longer it sits in the fridge the stronger the weird taste and smell will be. People have also said you can scald it before freezing but I’ve found that’s just too much to worry about while also pumping and bagging and freezing and cleaning parts 😵‍💫

Mix it with a lil fresh milk like 1-2 ounces...use it as bath milk, make lotion, get jewelry made...

Traveling by car

FTM to a one month old and we want to travel to visit family so they can meet the baby. The drive is only 4 hours away but online keeps saying to take breaks etc because its dangerous to have the baby in a car seat for more than 2 hours at a time. Anyone been thru something similar? And what did you do?

Tips for selling baby and maternity items?

I have lots of baby items (next to me, baby prep machine, monitor- all never used) to sell – what’s the best way to go about it? Any favourite platforms, tips for quick sales, or things I should avoid? Would love to hear your experiences!

Struggling

Hi everyone I’m really struggling at the moment. My baby ( 4 and a half months) is just so unhappy so fussy crying all the time. I spend my whole day trying to keep her calm or trying to calm her because she’s having a complete meltdown. She is definitely currently teething which I think is causing a lot of the issues I’m trying Calpol. I’m also trying teething gel and teething toys which I’ve put in the fridge but none of them seem to have much of an effect. I just need a bit of reassurance, a bit of positive thinking any other Mum’s out there having the same experience? I feel so alone in it but I’m sure I’m not and I just keep crying because my happy baby has become so miserable. I always start the day positively but by her 8th or 9th screaming meltdown I literally can’t cope and feel like I need to tap out ! I feel so frustrated and overstimulated plus annoyed that I can’t do much to help her ….i do have some support from parents who live locally and husband in the evenings but it’s still really really hard
