Struggling with feeding

My little girl is 7.5 weeks and we are struggling with feeding. When she takes the bottle, halfway into a feed she will be hysterically crying and want to continue to eat but keeps pulling off. This happens with the boob but not as much as only feeding boob mainly at night with a few day feeds. She will take the bottle if she’s either tired or distracted. Has anyone experienced this please? It started around 1.5 weeks ago and we are mainly doing pumped breast milk. Hoping this is just a phase 😩

My friend had this issue and it was due to severe tongue ties, high palate and feeding issues. Bec of this, baby wasn't able to latch, once sorted, baby was on bottle only.

I’m having this issue. My little girl is 7 weeks and it’s been like this since 4 weeks. After an oz or 2 she’s screaming and wants more but is just guzzling and screaming. It’s making feeding so stressful. She’s formula fed so only has the bottle but no matter what we try she won’t drink properly. She also always has belly ache as she guzzles so much air when drinking as she’s so worked up

I had this issue around week 5/6. Basically my LO latch wasn't as good as it had been where her face/lips had changed shape. She was no longer pouting out her bottom lip and was getting frustrated. The same thing of managing better when tired.
All it took for us was to pull out her lip so the were flared around instead of tucked in and she could feed more effectively. Did this a couple times for her and she wuickly caught on with what to do

We had this with my first son but worse. I remember it started gradually at 7 weeks. Also weirdly fed ok when asleep but he also didn’t feed as much asleep as slept well in the night. He was super uncomfortable after the feeds too and upset. He then stopped gaining weight and we were put on omreprezol and a hypoallergenic formula. Possibly it was that or he just grew older but it went at 3 months. He turned out to be the happiest baby/ toddler who loved food , but so stressful at the time!

When my little girl pulls off I find it's from gas so we have to have breaks and a good posture for feeding to help her feed.

We had feeding issues from day 1 and at 7 weeks someone finally identified tongue tie - we had similar issues where she would pull off and get grouchy because she was so hungry - also caused some bad gas and reflux for us. Apparently it can only get identified in some babies around 6-7 weeks as their appetite increases and they can’t get what they need. I would get that checked out as it’s made a huge difference after only a couple of days. It’s a super straightforward procedure.

MIL keeps planning to have a sleepover with my EBF 6 month old

She’s too pushy and I’ve said no endless times. It’ll be very stressful for him. I don’t pump because I don’t like it and my baby doesn’t like bottles. I’m currently trying to break nurse-sleep association. It doesn’t make any sense to attempt a sleepover because it’ll be just stressful for baby and I. I just can’t be asked to keep saying NO. It’s almost harassment. I said it’ll eventually happen once I’m back to work, not while I’m in mat leave as I don’t want to be away from my son yet. How can I approach this in a friendly way? She’s just too much sometimes and I’ve been very friendly and open about the idea, but not about the timing.

Won’t take bottles

I’ve returned to work and my breast fed baby girl will NOT take to any bottle. I have tried so many. Any suggestions?

First time Mom

Due in 2 weeks, what is better for postpartum for bleeding? Using pads or diapers?

Mounjaro

Is mounjaro allowed to be taken whilst breastfeeding? I’m not on it yet, but considering it as it’s the only thing that helps me lose some weight due to my health conditions.

When to stop sterilising?

My baby girl is 3 months and already so curious, grabbing things she shouldn’t, touching things that are a bit dirtier than I would like eg the floor and the rugs lol. Then she puts her hands straight in her mouth. I plan to keep sterilising her bottles etc for a while.

But curious when to stop, because at some point they are digesting bacteria anyways? Or is it still important to sterilise up until 1 year because of milk bacteria etc?

Numbness

I’m SURE it’s been asked before, but I’m over a year postpartum and still have no feeling in my scar area. I sometimes get an intense itch that can only stop with wicked hot water but that’s it. Anyone else have the same?
