My little girl who has just started reception has been invited to her friends birthday party ( this is her best friend ) I got the invitation on Tuesday and have already confirmed to the mum she will be going . I’ve just received another invitation from another little girl from her class and her party is on the same day at the same time so she won’t be able to attend but I don’t know what to say to the other mum as I don’t want to upset them or it to come across as rude .

Thank you for inviting X to Z's party, unfortunately we do already have another party that day, but I hope she has an amazing time celebrating!

You just thank them for the invitation but unfortunately she has another party attend

I would politely explain why. The other mum might not know the parties are clashing and if one invite went out first then potentially everyone is in the same situation with the second party

A lot of people don’t even respond. My daughters party was the same day as another girls but at a different time. Luckily her best friend went to both and we found out through them that there was another party.
Had a growth scan today at 36 weeks and baby is measuring 7lbs and 9oz. The doctor has said they would like me to have an induction at 38 weeks which I’m happy to do but also not opposed to having a c section. Can anyone offer any advice or previous similar experiences! Thanks x

At 3:17am Thursday my 2nd boy Vinny was born 🥰. Such a positive experience this time. I had what I thought was cramping for 24 hours beforehand but was in denial that it was real labour as contractions never got below 5 minutes apart. Eventually rang the birth unit and arrived at 3am thinking I would be sent home. The minute I arrived, my body started pushing and within 17 minutes, baby boy was born 🥰 I was 40W+5.
Good luck to all the other mamas due soon ❤️

Sorry to be graphic but I’m 7 weeks PP and for the first time I’ve looked down there with a mirror and I’m in shock!
It looks so different and I can practically see the inside of my vagina, has anyone has a similar experience?
Me and my partner are going to have sex tomorrow for the first time and now I’m worried.

Hi,
After I give birth I was wondering if I can request a private room (Idm paying for it) I read somewhere it can be like 100/200 per night. To clarify I don't want to give birth privately in an NHS hospital. I just think I might want some privacy afterwards. Does anyone know if all hospitals offer this and how do we go about requesting this?
Thanks a lot in advance

I would love for my family to meet baby and they will only get a chance to meet baby if baby comes before half term so they can do the 6 hours drive down to us and book an air b&b. We got luckily with my first that she was born a week before Christmas so they got to meet her during the Christmas holidays!
Would appreciate some tips and advices!
