Save me!

Someone please give me some advice on what to do.

My son hasn’t slept a full night in his cot for a good few months, I put it down to regression and teething but it’s still happening. He will spend 1-3 hours in his cot after going down quite drowsy and then wakes up screaming and will not go back in there to sleep even if you put him down completely asleep, he just shoots straight up and screams, I’m at breaking point with it, I just want one night in my bed. He shares a room with his older brother who has special needs and he is also waking up in the night too but after the younger one so I know it’s not him waking his brother up. Not sure what to do but I need to get out of this rut I had an hours sleep last night. Please help Andy advice appreciated!

Warm the cot up a little bit beforehand as its getting colder outside, put your tshirt in the cot near him so he has your scent.

When putting him down put your hand on his chest for a few minutes

Co-sleep another option if possible

Night feeds

When did you stop night feeds, and how did you do it? My little girl is 2 and still wakes up at least 2–3 times a night for milk. It’s honestly so draining 😩 Has anyone been through the same? I’d love to hear what worked for you and how you settled them without a feed 🤍

Freaking out

Had a glass of wine at 7:30 instinctively fed at 10:30 without checking milk or pumping and dumping. Am I terrible or is my baby going to be fine? Also drank a lot of water in between the times and feel literally fine

Exhausted

My boy is 7 weeks old breast fed baby and his sleep is so scattered. He’ll have a night with 3 hour stretches of sleep in his bassinet and then other nights that he absolutely refuses it. I’m writing this post at 7am and I’ve been up since midnight because he will only sleep on me and I’m too nervous to fall asleep if he’s on me. Not looking for advice, believe me I’ve tried absolutely everything. Just looking for mamas in a similar situation to know I’m not alone.

Reflux or something else?

My 1.5 month baby girl has spit up (milk as it is) after 30-45 minute post the feed time. We keep her upright and burp her for atleast 20-30 minutes after 2/3/4 oz feed. Regardless sof volume, she tends to have milk come up and sounds congested when we put her in the crib after burp.

Night have been hard as she is sometimes restless and the cycle of feed burp repeat is 1.5 hour long on repeat!

Her weight is on track and she seems happy rest of the time.

When brought up to pediatrician at 1 month, they said it’s normal as long as she isn’t fussy or uneasy throughout the night.

My MIL says this seems unusual and I think so too! Please advise if I should get a second opinion? I’m afraid she has some concerns we are able to understand yet.

Week 4 of 1-2 hourly wake ups.

This 4 month sleep ‘regression’ almost put me off having my second child because it lasted for MONTHS, almost a year actually.

I genuinely don’t think I could have a third now because I forgot how bad it actually is, it’s sent me into depression due to lack of sleep and dealing with a toddler AND breastfeeding. How long can I cope, so depressing.

Cluster feeding… 🫩

I’m not sure how long I can do this.

Baby is 4 weeks and 3 days and wants the boob almost all day long (he’s already been like this almost a fortnight), during the night he settles in his next to me from about 22:00-00:00 but once he’s awake he’s feeding for over an hour (actively sucking and also comfort I think).

He’ll go back in his crib for 20-30 mins and then the cycle starts again and that’s it all night.

I feel so guilty that I’m getting frustrated but I’m shattered and don’t know how to get out of this 😞
