EBF Mums

Hello,

So I exclusively breastfeed my seven day old I have always with both pregnancies produced a lot of milk so I do bottle feed as well as pump off in the daytime as not confident breastfeeding in public. I can currently get about 14 to 20 ounces off every 3 to 4 hours pumping so my stash is building up quite significantly.

The only thing I’m struggling with this time is I constantly feel hungry and if I don’t eat properly feel like I’m gonna pass out all blood sugars are dropping. I try to consistently eat protein-based meals for breakfast and lunch while my partner is at work and then we’ll eat something home-made for tea. I’ve never really been a snacker but I feel like I constantly need snacks. Is this something anyone else is struggling with?

To produce those huge volumes of milk you’ll need lots of calories to support your body x

Loads and loads of water. Minimum 3L a day xx

That is an absolutely huge volume to be pumping each day. Are you sure you want to be producing that much? I would seriously consider reducing down now.

You need to eat a lot in order to produce that much.

I used to be that hungry while bf my first baby. This second time I don't feel so hungry (also bf my 9 days old baby. But not pumping). I know it's normal to be very hungry... And there's nothing I could have done to help it. I bf him 2.5 years

Bath after a c section? When can I have one?

I am very much a bath girly and am starting to really miss having a nice warm soak.

A midwife in the hospital told me that I should wait 6-8 weeks for a bath. Is this true? Can a bath without soaps/ bubble bath be had before this? I have been showering daily, avoiding getting shampoo and shower gel on my incision.

I am 4 and a half weeks post C section.

Thanks for any advice xx

So my 29 month old is waking up again at silly times sometimes 11pm sometimes 2.30am and this morning 4am…….why? We did sleep training and brought a guide from Ruth the midwife and it worked it went so so well and we was all managing to sleep and felt refreshed now I am exhausted and feel drained

All he does is moan and moan and moan from the minute he wakes up till he goes to bed.

What duvet tog should we be using for him now it’s colder?

No sleep routine

My 8 week old has no real routine. His dad and I split the night and take a shift each in different rooms and we’re really just muddling through responding to however he is that day/night. I know every baby is different but when roughly should we start a routine and what should it look like?

Speech

My boy is going to be 2 in less than 2 weeks now & still barely saying many words he says mama, dada, nana, go, no, makes noises of a duck & he has recently started saying mummy & okay but i feel that he is behind. Is there recommendations on what I can do to improve this? Does it seem like he is behind?
