Pelvic Girdle Pain

Hi I’m 22w+2 and have really bad pelvic girdle pain. I’m really frustrated when researching that I’m not finding much about the area of pain being my vagina (not so much my pubic area, but more underneath) . A constant dull ache that sharpens with any sort of movement, walking, stairs, rolling over / getting in/out of bed etc.

I’ve been referred to physio by midwives but the first session I attended was a group session and we were basically just given info on what it was and how to reduce it etc all of which I had already tried or was already doing so seemed pretty pointless. We weren’t given any exercises for home or anything like that.

I have a LG who is 2 in 3 weeks time so I don’t have the benefit of “resting”. I also had PGP with my first pregnancy but no where near as bad or for as long (started at 29w) 😂🤦🏼‍♀️

I just feel so alone in this world of Pelvic Girdle Pain because all I read about is the hips / back / legs being affected but nothing about the vagina.
Anyone in the same boat got any advice? Or just want to chat?

I had PGP with my first, apparently its supposed to get worse with every pregnancy 🙃 im 14 weeks and havent got it yet and praying it doesnt start again any time soon!! (Was 19 weeks when it started with my LG) Do you have one of the bump supports? It could be the pressure from your bump pushing down causing the pain in your vagina?? 🖤

I have severe pain since 16 weeks, now 24 weeks. Got signed off work, really struggle day to day. So i completely get you xx

I am in physio, on codiene when needed, very low dose. But unfortunately no better, just somewhat manageable.

But able to do more now im not working, just in pain. But just tell myself, its just pain, im not damaging myself or baby

I had it with #2 and was on crutches from 12 weeks and wheelchair the last 8. Although im pretty sure it was paired with a hernia in my groin plus varicose veins. With #3 im in agony but managed to hold off until 19 weeks until I've got physio. I have a hernia belt (like a sumo belt) which has been a life saver. I do also have a pregnancy belt but thats more uncomfortable atm. The only thing I know is once baby is here it disappears but as others have said it can get worse each pregnancy.

First steps - walking already

Hi mums!
My baby did her first three steps just 2 weeks before she turned 9 months.
She then did several times 1 or 2 steps, but then she lose her balance.
Has any other Jan baby done a few steps?
If so, how long after your baby started walking ? 🥹

Induction day!

Hi all!

I’m 39+3, baby is due Friday but I was scheduled for an induction today (19th October) at 4pm. Came in, waited for bed and had an exam of my cervix to see what the situation was. She asked if I’d had any contractions and I don’t THINK I have, though that could be my naivety! Anyway, she said she can feel my little one’s head! She reckons I’m already 2cm dilated which is mad!

Currently just waiting to have my waters broken unless they do so alone. Likely to be tomorrow, I think I’m in the first two of three on the list to have my waters broken.

I feel so relieved I don’t need to go ahead with the induction and I’ve done this naturally (FTM), however… what am I to expect now? 😅

Does it hurt having your waters broken? So many questions and yet can’t think of any!

Braxton hicks

Has anyone’s braxton hicks got really intense? Mine are happening so frequently. Went out shopping today and my belly was tight the whole way round 😭

Ultrasound Pictures

Genuinely annoyed my obgyn is now doing scanned ultrasound pictures. Like what a buzz kill! With my first it was so fun to get the ultrasound and hang it on the fridge! Now it’s a QR code!
