I was induced with my daughter but didmt habe the balloon but i can tell u pain wose the contractions start straight away . I got my waters broke at 6 am by 6:15 contractions were hitting me real hard

I was also induced and they also did the balloon on me. However, they have to wait until you’re a little dilatad first. it’s weird that they have a set time for it. I would be careful because it just seems like they are trying to push your body to move fast and sometimes that’s not how labor works and it can actually stall it. I was induced and on fluids for 3 whole days. They did the ballon, pitocin and broke my water and I still didn’t progress, at that point I was so uncomfortable and food deprived that I just wanted out of the hospital and agreed to anything that would get me out of there. So be careful with them pushing your body too hard and possibly stalling your labor. As far as pain I don’t remember that hurting at all. The catheter was the most uncomfortable thing for me, I also did epidural when I got to 6cm so I didn’t feel much but everyone is different! The pitocin didn’t do anything for me but other women have said it causes bad contractions 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️

I got the foley and it was painful! Way worse than contractions or pushing. If you’re doing medical pain management start early. If not really work on your coping skills so you are prepared. Had mine in for about 6 hours then they took it out and started pitocin. Few hours after that I was ready to pushed and pushed baby after 2 hours of pushing. ( they said that was normal for first time mom but felt long to me) all in all I had a short induction they started at 3pm then baby boy was born 9pm the next day. So just over 24 hours.

I have been induced 3 times now and had no issues with it. Yes contractions on pitocin can be much more painful than without. But I got the epidural and was fine after that.
I didn’t need any cervical help with my first 2. But with my 3rd baby I had to have the balloon placed. It was not painful for me. Them inserting and filling it didn’t cause me any pain. I did have a lot of contractions with it. But they were never so terrible that I couldn’t bare them. They take it out 12 hours later. Or it could fall out on its own. And after mine I was a 5cm

I also was induced (started with cytotec) then had the balloon placed, it was definitely uncomfortable and got me to a 6 and then they broke my water- in the end she had her cord weaved through her legs and couldn’t drop down any further and her heart rate kept dropping with clever contraction so we had to go into emergency c section. Prayers for you and baby!!
Hi mums!
My baby did her first three steps just 2 weeks before she turned 9 months.
She then did several times 1 or 2 steps, but then she lose her balance.
Has any other Jan baby done a few steps?
If so, how long after your baby started walking ? 🥹

Hi all!
I’m 39+3, baby is due Friday but I was scheduled for an induction today (19th October) at 4pm. Came in, waited for bed and had an exam of my cervix to see what the situation was. She asked if I’d had any contractions and I don’t THINK I have, though that could be my naivety! Anyway, she said she can feel my little one’s head! She reckons I’m already 2cm dilated which is mad!
Currently just waiting to have my waters broken unless they do so alone. Likely to be tomorrow, I think I’m in the first two of three on the list to have my waters broken.
I feel so relieved I don’t need to go ahead with the induction and I’ve done this naturally (FTM), however… what am I to expect now? 😅
Does it hurt having your waters broken? So many questions and yet can’t think of any!

Genuinely annoyed my obgyn is now doing scanned ultrasound pictures. Like what a buzz kill! With my first it was so fun to get the ultrasound and hang it on the fridge! Now it’s a QR code!

Hi I’m 22w+2 and have really bad pelvic girdle pain. I’m really frustrated when researching that I’m not finding much about the area of pain being my vagina (not so much my pubic area, but more underneath) . A constant dull ache that sharpens with any sort of movement, walking, stairs, rolling over / getting in/out of bed etc.
I’ve been referred to physio by midwives but the first session I attended was a group session and we were basically just given info on what it was and how to reduce it etc all of which I had already tried or was already doing so seemed pretty pointless. We weren’t given any exercises for home or anything like that.
I have a LG who is 2 in 3 weeks time so I don’t have the benefit of “resting”. I also had PGP with my first pregnancy but no where near as bad or for as long (started at 29w) 😂🤦🏼♀️
I just feel so alone in this world of Pelvic Girdle Pain because all I read about is the hips / back / legs being affected but nothing about the vagina.
Anyone in the same boat got any advice? Or just want to chat?
