Vascular issues

Anyone else dealing with varicose or spider veins / had them in a previous pregnancy? This is my first time having them (it’s just on my left leg) and wondering if this is something that goes away after delivery or if I’ll need to see a vascular specialist. I’m 33 weeks pregnant

I got them after 4 pregnancies i was told it was from sitting too long or standing too long. But also pregnancy can cause them, they are mostly cosmetic but if they get worse can lead to varicose veins that swell and can cause pain and other problems. If they aren't causing you pain I wouldn't stress too much but if you are concerned it wouldn't hurt to see a vein specialist. I have been able to stop them from getting worse by exercising, not walking or sitting for too long if I do wearing compression socks to help blood flow.

Preemies?

Any mums in this group suddenly find themselves a mum of an October 2026 baby and not a December one now?

We were visiting family in the next county (for less than 24 hours mind you!) and found ourselves rushed to hospital with bleeding, preeclampsia and an emergency c-section baby.

Being at the hospital, recovering from c-section whilst my son sits in his incubator is definitely not an experience or thought I ever had for this pregnancy. Anyone going through similar??

Fasting reading

Hi everyone!

This is my 2nd pregnancy and I’ve been diagnosed with GD again!

However, every single reading other the my fasting to fine… they increased 3 metformin tablets Friday and they are still high. I know they will be telling me that I need to start taking insulin.

I feel like I have completely failed. Does anyone else feel the same way?
