Ive heard its easier to do when breastfeeding. Because!1: BF brings on contractions help the uterus to return to normal pre pregnancy size.
2. You burn more calories because you are feeding/sustaining a baby

Weight while breastfeeding has a massive hormonal element - most lose weight, but an unlucky minority piles it on. My sister & I are in the latter group. Maybe you are, too? If so, I'm sorry, it's particularly galling while most claim it'll just fall off you 🙈
We've had some success with restricting our own calorie intake & upping exercise, but they do recommend caution while breastfeeding as you can end up not doing so well yourself as your body will prioritise feeding your baby. The key is often very healthy eating & not falling into the e.g. biscuits 'trap' when you're exhausted OR accepting your amazing body as it is for now - you grew & birthed a whole human!! & trying later? Sending much love either way. X

I find it virtually impossible to loose weight in the first year of breastfeeding, my body clings to fat! (I fed by first until 25 months and at around a year I lost 1.5 stone without trying once I went back to work and feeds spaced, it’s like my body knew my baby was ok without so much milk). My babies have both woke every single hour and that little and broken sleep plays havoc with your hormones making it harder still. The first time round I was really distressed by it. This time? I know it’s just a short season and I’m focusing on my baby. I know the weight will come off again eventually! I’ve grown and sustained two huge babies.. my body has been through a lot and when it’s ready and my babies aren’t so small I can get that tiny waist back! x

Baby fell off the bed 😞

So guys the day ive dreaded for a long time happened today. It was exactly the same as every other morning except this one day my little one somehow managed to move across the whole bed and tumbled off it. The standard pillow fort waa there but somehow he missed it. I truly don't have a clue how but now im petrified of closing my eyes in the morning. Please confirm that this happens all of the time and that I'm not a bad mum.

Side / tummy sleeper

Baby loves sleeping on their side / tummy and gets up a lot more when placed on back so I’ve leaned into it and don’t always put them on their back anymore. Just wondering if anyone else does the same

Wake Up Times

Do you all wake yourself and baby up at the same time every day? I get up depending on how the night has been, so if we've had a crap night, we might not get up until 10, but I feel like I should start getting up the same time every day to start some sort of routine and nap schedule as at the minute we just go with the flow.

Major surgery

Does anyone else feel like because you've had a baby people forget you've had major surgery at the same time and you should be over it quickly. I feel like even in the hospital you are just in and out which wouldn't happen with normal surgery. Partner says things like oh I am sure you will be alright! I don't think people really understand.

Mums, how did you get your newborn to sleep in their Next to Me crib? My little girl falls asleep perfectly in my arms but the second I put her down in her crib she wakes up crying! What worked for you? Any advice or tips 🙏🏽
