Overdue and wanting to avoid induction

I’m 41+1 today and still only 1cm dilated, I’ve tried everything to get this baby out of here. I have an induction booked for 41+5 but would rather go into spontaneous labour! Does anyone have any similar stories of not needing the induction at around the same time or anything that worked for them?

I was showing no signs and then I went into spontaneous labour, waters broke and was having contractions... Got to hospital and everything stopped 🫣 ended up having to go on pictocin and gave birth 3hrs after starting the drip... I gave birth at 41 weeks exactly. I was going for 2x 30min walks a day, doing squats, birthing ball exercises and other labour encouraging exercises. All I will recommend is do your best to stay calm and relaxed as it helps keep the flow going once labour starts, stress and anxiety is known to slow it down. Good luck with everything and enjoy your little miracle when they arrive 🥰

Sensitive subject but need advice....

So I have genital herpes (super triggering for me as came from previous relationship) throughout my pregnancy so far I have had atleast 3 outbreaks, despite being on meds everyday to suppress it.

I also have endometriosis, pcos, fibromyalgia, and suffering with severe PGP. This is my first pregnancy.

My OB and I had a chat at 21 weeks about c section vs vaginal birth and he has said the choice is up to me. He provided me with all risks of c section and vaginal birth. I am so torn.

My main concern is if I plan for a vaginal birth, I will likely have to have an emergency c section if I have a herpes outbreak during or around labour/due date. Which feels likely, as i will be stressed. My other concern is if I am able go vaginal birth, with the soreness down there plus a possible outbreak I wont be able to cope with the pain and irritation down there.
With c section obviously big concern is its major surgery whilst being awake, and the recovery time is more. I already am suffering with severe pelvic girdle pain, so will a csection make it worse? Will i be able to comfortable breastfeeding baby or will we need to look at combi feeding or formula?

Had anyone on here been in my position? What did you do? Any advice?

Preemies?

Any mums in this group suddenly find themselves a mum of an October 2026 baby and not a December one now?

We were visiting family in the next county (for less than 24 hours mind you!) and found ourselves rushed to hospital with bleeding, preeclampsia and an emergency c-section baby.

Being at the hospital, recovering from c-section whilst my son sits in his incubator is definitely not an experience or thought I ever had for this pregnancy. Anyone going through similar??

Mild pain

Hi ladies ❤️ I’m 13 weeks pregnant and have had a mild pain on the right side of my abdomen since yesterday. It comes and goes, even when resting, and I also notice it when walking, bending or taking a deep breath. Has anyone experienced anything similar? I am a bit worried and honestly don’t know what to do.

Shaving in the last stretch

I know you don’t have to and midwives have seen it all but it be a personal preference if anyone be seeing down there. However 35 weeks worth of baby bump be blocking my view and I feel like I can barely reach at this point. How are you girlies finding it because the patch work look is not for me and some places I feel like imma throw my back out just to reach 😅

What career path would you choose?

What job would you do for your family? Both are full time hospital job is 35mins from me and Amazon job is 15mins from me .
