What the fuck is going on?..

My daughter is almost 4 months old and every day is getting really hard, she went from being happy and smiling a lot to being grumpy and screaming for no reason. Her feeding is all over the place and she refuses to nap - will only sleep when she’s so tired she just drops off..

Trying to settle her is becoming so difficult no matter what I try, she just seems whingey all the time and I can’t keep her happy for long. All I want to do is help and I don’t know how.

Has this happened to anyone else? Is it just a phase? How long will this last? What can I do to help?

She’s in her growth spurt era.
You may not notice, at this stage, teeth are starting to come out. Babies at this stage get fussy.
And definitely, just when you’re getting used to your baby’s current nap routine, it will now change. When your LO turns nearly 6 months, time for another rollercoaster haha

This is normal. Ours lasted off and on for around 4 days at a time. He’s now 4m3w and is settling back into a happy baby routine

This is happening with my LO and she's 6 weeks 😂

You'll find this happening periodically as it usually precedes them developing new skills. There is typically a period of frustration in which they are struggling, often more irritable with sleep disrupted due to brain development, but then they figure out the thing (rolling, babbling, crawling, whatever it is), and things go back to normal for a few weeks again. That's my guess, anyway.

Really normal - expect this for the rest of childhood 😂 every time you get used to them they change or go through a phase!

This could be the 4month regression. Pretty normal but definitely frustrating

Lost our spark

I’ve been with my husband just over 4 years and we had our 1st wedding anniversary earlier this year. We also have a 1 year old. Our relationship over the last year has been really rocky. We’ve had horrendous arguments when we’ve never argued before, things have been said and there’s been many a time I’ve thought that we were done. While we have been slightly better over the last so many months, when we argue we argue. I feel like we have completely lost our spark. We don’t ever really cuddle as I don’t now like it as much as I used too, hardly say I love you and don’t ever really laugh and joke about when we used to be like best friends. The thing is I don’t see any of this changing especially as our 2nd is due next year. Obviously I love him but I don’t feel the way I did towards him in our early days. We have limited childcare so don’t ever get time just us and the 2 opportunities we did have the nursery sent our son home early so we had to cancel plans. I don’t know if we’ve just naturally drifted apart from each other or if this is just because of having children

School query

We are fortunate to be in a position where we have 3 schools my little girl could get into for reception. However, most of her nursery friends are going to one particular school. I liked this school, but just preferred another of our choices. I’m just worried about how upset she’ll be for not going with her friends. Has anyone been in a similar position?

Am I a bad Mom if I don't like staying with my children?

I have two children, one who is 3 and a half and one who is 6 months old. We just moved out of state, and before the move, I was working full-time while both kids were in daycare. I wanted to stay home with them and go to school, and I had this picture in my head of doing activities, teaching them things, and enjoying this time with a few hard days mixed in.

That has not been my reality.

My 3-year-old will not stop asking me for things. I go from one need to the next all day long, and I haven’t even had a chance to unpack. I barely have time to make myself food or get enough sleep. My 3-year-old has decided he doesn’t need naps anymore, and then he’ll intentionally wake up my 6-month-old just because he wants to. His behavior has been awful lately, and he doesn’t listen, even when it’s something important, like not running up and down the stairs. He questions everything, and I’ve gotten to the point where I’m yelling more than I want to.

I’m struggling. I’ve looked into daycare at least once a week because I’m so overwhelmed, but I genuinely want to make staying home work. I’m just so unhappy right now, and I feel like I’m failing at something I really wanted.

Does anyone have any advice? Has anyone been through something similar and found a way to make it work?

Child care

When did everyone go back to work and what age did you send your little one to nursery and for how many days to begin with?
