I’m reaching out to see if any other moms have experience with toddlers who may have ADHD, and if you have any advice on how to manage constant tantrums and meltdowns.
My son will be 3 in February, and lately I’ve been really struggling with his behavior. It feels like he has a meltdown over EVERYTHING, sometimes over things that don’t even seem to have a reason. There’s very little downtime, and I feel like I can’t get anything done without constant screaming, yelling, or a tantrum.
I understand that toddlers have big emotions and are still learning how to regulate them, but this feels like more than the typical toddler tantrums. The frequency and intensity are becoming really difficult to manage, and the usual parenting techniques and strategies I’ve tried just don’t seem to work for him.
I’ve been trying to get him help because I genuinely suspect he may have ADHD, or something else going on developmentally, but I feel like my concerns aren’t being taken seriously, and I still haven’t gotten the guidance or support I need.
If you’ve been through something similar with your little one, especially if they were later diagnosed with ADHD or something else, I would really appreciate hearing your experiences. What helped with the meltdowns? What strategies actually worked for your child? Were there any resources, evaluations, or services that helped you?
I’m open to any genuine advice, recommendations, or support. I just want to help my son and figure out what he needs. 🩵

I would try reaching out to your pediatrician if you have not done so already. You can share your concerns with them, and if you feel your son's behaviors fall outside of the typical range, they can write a referral for you for early intervention services. Typically, they can connect you with an occupational therapist if needed. You might be able to reach out to early intervention directly as a resource, I am not sure. They are great at providing community and support. They can also do evaluations where I am. There are also OT's who work at private practices, and sometimes sessions are covered by your insurance. Good luck! You are strong, you've got this!

I'll add, something that has been helping my son is knowing what is coming up next. Transitions can be tricky. I try to front load for him when I can, "first we will___, then we will___." Then he isn't panicked and what is going to happen. Visual timers also help with moving on. Sometimes I show him a picture on my phone of what we are going to do next.

They would be too young to be diagnosed with adhd. I would avoid all screen times with the evidence that is out there with making symptoms of adhd worse. What's my baby thinking book is really useful. Is there any patterns to the tantrums? For example is it when changing from different tasks so from play time to going home? Or supermarkets? As there are strategies around it depending on the problems. Also it could be something emotionally like if they have a younger siblings and they are having more tantrums because they don't want to share your attention.
Hi everyone!
I had my first baby 8 days ago and unfortunately the birth didn’t quite go to plan, needing suction and an episiotomy.
I’ve been in so much pain and upon getting my stitches checked have found that the wound has opened and cannot be re-stitched due to risk of infection.
Has anyone experienced this? I’m looking for some advice on how long I can expect to be in this pain as something to work towards 🤞🏼

Hi my baby is 1 tomorrow and I’ve just had my HV appointment who basically said she doesn’t need milk anymore now not even cows milk but obviously if she can’t drop it then swap it for cows milk.
How many bottles are your 12 months having? And also what bottle do you put it in?
We’ve still got about half a tub of formula so I’m going to use that first anyways.

Genuinely.. has anybody had sex before 6 weeks postpartum? I really really wanted to wait but my sex drive has been to the fricken moon and I caved in a few days ago and for some reason I feel really guilty about it 😔 I’m 4 weeks postpartum, had a vaginal delivery with no tears or stitches. And I completely stopped bleeding a few days before I had sex. Is there even a point in waiting an extra 2 weeks since the deed is done or..? 😭

Just had my 32 week midwife appointment I explained my reasons for not wanting to breastfeed and it almost felt like she wouldn’t take not for an answer. She was trying to scare me telling me all these negatives about formula feeding. Has anyone else had this happen to them? It filled me with so much anxiety!

My LO is 5 months old next week and she can't nap in the day for longer than 30 minutes. Her wake window is 2 - 2.5 hours, she goes to sleep being rocked and transfers to the cot with no issues but just wont sleep for long. Any tips on how to stretch the nap?
