Guys I’ve been trying my daughter with different foods since she turned 6 months she’s now 8 months old and is just not interested in solids, she won’t let me spoon feed her (she doesn’t open her mouth) I’ll give her the spoon and she just throws it around. She does try finger foods but then spits everything out. I feel like I’m failing her and it’s starting to upset me, she just doesn’t want it 😭

Putting food in her mouth and spitting it out is part of the process of learning to eat. Just keep offering it. Milk is still supposed to be her primary source of nutrition so you're not doing anything wrong

Neither of my kids would be spoon fed. I’ve done BLW (just started the second time with my second baby) just put whatever we have for dinner on his tray cut age appropriately and they learnt to eat really well this way. Also means you can eat your own dinner rather than constantly spoon feeding! Only draw back is the mess 🙈 x

Wait for progress. My daughter did the same around 8 months for a week or so. Refused to be fed and wanted to do it all herself while chewing but spitting food out. Bringing food to mouth, chewing and moving food around the mouth and then swallowing and all different skills so to do them all at once is a lot. It can be frustrating and feel wasteful on food but it’s exploration over actual eating. The more they explore the more they learn. It does improve as I’ve found my baby wants to eat but can’t quite get enough in her mouth bless her. They go back to spoon feeding once they realise what it’s all about.
Good luck!
How do you talk to your kids about their grandparents breaking promises and being uninvolved? They broke a promise to spend time with my son after missing his birthday and party. They did have a good reason for missing it, but it feels like they always make empty promises and spend more time with my nephew. I was stupid and told my son they were coming before they canceled and now I feel awful doing that to him.

Anyone have ideas for Christmas gifts for a 2 year old? I have no idea what to get my daughter. I am stumped 🤦🏼♀️ I know I should know as I am her mom but I don’t know. She likes to many things and i don’t know what are some good things to help her learn. Help!!!! Thanks in advance!

My boyfriend has a little side business 👀 and we had a party for the fact my baby girl will be coming in about a months time (9th December) it’s like my last little piece of fun as she might also be early due to being little but healthy!! ☺️
Anyway! I’ve ended up going into the kitchen hungry for some snacks and I seen a packet of randoms (candy/sweets) depending on where you are! So I had one and realised it tasted completely off , asked everyone who’s they where and they where my partners edibles!! 🙍🏽♀️ I felt so embarrassed and now I’m so scared because I’ve literally consumed an edible I’ve tried to vomit but how is that actually going to help😭.
What do I do right now?!

My 20 months old daughter starts total dramas when I'm cooking. Rolling on the floor, screaming. My husband often works from home, he can't focus. I'm heavily criticized by everyone for letting her watch Sesame Street, but this is terror. I need to prepare meals and she cannot self regulate yet. Am I the only bad mom that turns on tv? It became almost a taboo subject.
