I gave birth to my daughter on October 17, and my epidural failed, making my delivery extremely painful and traumatic. I was discharged on October 20 after being told everything was okay. The very next day, October 21, I returned with headaches, fatigue, and vision changes and was diagnosed with postpartum preeclampsia. I can’t help but question whether I was discharged too soon.
While receiving care in Labor and Delivery, nurse Katie and charge nurse Aaryn T. made my partner and me feel disrespected and dismissed. They also kept me from my 4-day-old newborn, who had been discharged from the same hospital with me on October 21. After such a traumatic birth and a frightening medical complication, I deserved compassion, not more stress.
Postpartum mothers deserve respect, support, and safe care. I hope hospital management takes my experience seriously.

I had an emergency C-section at the start of September, and I haven’t had my 6 week discharge/follow up appointment come through from the NHS yet. Are we meant to organise this or is an appointment sent out? Can’t wait to find out when I can start some light exercise and scar massage etc! I’ve had other appointments since but nothing that focuses on this. Thank you 🙏🏼

How accurate was everyone’s weight estimates based on ultrasound vs weight at birth?

Had my CS Tuesday. Felt really well afterwards but today I've struggled especially as day has gone on. Feeling like I need more pain relief. When does the pain start to ease off ?

Just to give you hands up.
It’s so sad that children are not allowed in the screening room. My little one was so excited to see his sibling and ended up waiting outside with my husband. We kind of lost the special moment. We are planning to go private soon.
Thankfully baby is doing really great❤️
