Struggling with a 2 year old and pregnant

I’m 38 weeks pregnant and really struggling.
My little boy is 23 months and he has turned into an absolute nightmare. the tantrums are so extreme and it’s like walking on eggshells with him. It’s like he is so fragile and emotional and ANY little thing sets him off. He goes to nursery/family 4 days a week and is fine there but I’m finding myself dreading my one day off with him. I’m trying to ignore the tantrum and reward when he stops rather than giving in but I don’t know how to handle this in public when everyone is looking and he’s running away from me. I can’t just pick him up kicking and screaming due to being so heavily pregnant.

He’s definitely worse for me than his dad and others but it’s just so mentally draining, I feel so flat and down about it and it feels like everyone around me isn’t struggling at all with 2 or more children and I keep thinking if I can’t even cope before the baby is here how am I going to cope with 2?
Feel like such a failure.

He’s probably picking up on you feeling stressed and knowing there’s a huge change coming. My 2 year old was the same in the weeks leading up to baby 2 coming.

I found it got a little easier as the weeks went by when baby 2 was here. Especially when you’re not having to deal with the difficulties of being heavily pregnant.

Hang in there! Being pregnant with a toddler is harder than having a newborn and a toddler.

That sounds exhausting! My son also acts out only with me and it makes me feel terrible. But it’s because they feel most comfortable with you. You’re almost there! If you can just stay home the one day he’s with you it’ll probably lower some stress. Reward yourself after or at the beginning of that day! Get a fancy breakfast doordashed or something. You’re doing a lot girl and you’re not a failure❤️

I’m in the exact same situation, 38+4 with my second with an extremely hyperactive / clingy / tantruming to the extremes 3 year old boy… I started my maternity leave yesterday and was looking forward to some peace but his childminder has been unwell so I’ve had him at home with me,I’ve literally been counting down the hours until his dad gets home and I feel awful for it but it’s mentally and physically draining, you’re not alone!! I’m
Hoping when baby comes it wil be easier (I’m hoping and praying!!) as I’m hoping for more energy to get out and about with them both whereas now I’m so exhausted and uncomfortable I just want to sit and do nothing! X

It just provokes stress and anxity that's unnecessary

8 month old not interested in solids

Guys I’ve been trying my daughter with different foods since she turned 6 months she’s now 8 months old and is just not interested in solids, she won’t let me spoon feed her (she doesn’t open her mouth) I’ll give her the spoon and she just throws it around. She does try finger foods but then spits everything out. I feel like I’m failing her and it’s starting to upset me, she just doesn’t want it 😭

Starting solids

Very nervous about starting solids the right way! Also making sure it’s variety of food, allergens etc. Could someone recommend a guide I could follow day by day week by week to start?

Breakfast and lunch ideas please

What is everyone feeding their 7 month old for breakfast and lunch? I feel like head hating everything I give him 😭

Solids

My 7 month old will hardly eat anything. He will bite and chew a bit but mostly spits things out. The only thing I’ve seen him successfully eat are the Ella’s kitchen jumbo sticks. I’ve tried BLW, purées, yogurt, big pieces of veg and steak, baby rice you name it
People keep sharing their baby is eating 2/3 meals a day and having such a variety but mine just throws the food around and won’t swallow 😩
