I can’t wrap my head around it maybe I don’t want to believe it I just I don’t know if I’m crazy or not.
My toddler is 4 years she started reception this September. She’s an only child and it’s her first school setting full. She’s always been home with me since birth. She’s never been away from me 5 days a week 8 hours a day. She started full time with no transition.
For 6 weeks I thought she was getting on fine because she’s always happy to go to school she always cries because she’s wants me to take her to school!
At drop off and pick ups I’ve seen her teacher teaching assistants and the primary school supervisor at the gates and in all these times they’ve never pull me aside or made me aware of anything on a few occasions the teaching assistants would tell me she had a wonderful day.
My toddler is very emotional in the sense she gets upset quickly if she doesn’t want to do something or she’s being told no. She’ll get fussy teary but that’s about it. Either she settles or she moves on with another activity.
Now school has told me that ever since she started up to now October 22nd she’s been very aggressive with the adults at school. I mean they said they’ve reported 17 incidents and I haven’t be made aware of none of them from the onset. Apparently she kicks the adults the slaps the teacher in the face she hits the dinner staff and they are concerned?
I’ve never seen such behaviour at home or at soft plays of at local parks. I’ve seen the staff all this time and nobody has even told me anything from the first incident. At least after the 5th or 10th at most I should have been made aware if it was that concerning? Why wait till 17 and corner and force me into believing this?
I have a hard time to believe it because she’s not aggressive at home or at school. She loves going to school. Teacher said she doesn’t hit the children but apparently she hits a big grown adult?
I don’t know if I’m crazy but there’s just too much not adding up and I have a hard time to believe my child is doing this to adults for the past 6 weeks. They are forcing me into referral and things and not even explaining properly what the referral entails just we need your consent we need your consent.
Am I overreacting? Am I crazy having a hard time to believe it?
Apparently in football club she had such a bad reaction the club staff wanted to call me to pick her up and guess what nobody called me on that day and when I picked up her the staff smiled at me and didn’t inform me if it was really bad wouldn’t they have said at least a word??
It’s my first time dealing with a school and it’s now adding me stress on top of my work.

I think they should have definitely said something sooner.
You've said you have never seen her act that way anywhere but you (her safe space) has always been present so she may not have felt the need to cos she had you there as security whereas she doesn't have that now she's at school.
A school environment is the complete opposite to home with just your parent. It's louder, more people, less attention etc
You've said you are having a hard time believing it cos she's not aggressive at home or school but clearly she is at school.
In terms of the referral I'd refuse consent until they explain fully what they are referring for.

Omg, this sounds crazy that they have literally not called you in for a face to face meeting, and then not even speak to you after alleged football club incident!
This sounds soooo stupid but they are sure it's your daughter displaying this behaviour and they haven't mistaken the child ?
They haven't sent you any of the incident reports ? Id ask for copies and where they have been sent too...
I don't think you are overreacting, although it doesn't mean it isn't happening....
I agree with the above poster that perhaps as you have been with her the entire 4 years she's hasn't felt the need to display this behaviour, and perhaps it is happening, but for me the school has majorly let you down by not calling you in sooner !
Id ask for a meeting with the teacher and the head (or someone relevant), request to review the incidents and ask why you haven't been made aware until now, give tangible examples of times when somebody could have said something and has chosen not too...
And go from there ....

You can request to see all the incident logs wherever they have mentioned your daughter’s name.
Need advice on what to do with this situation… I really regret my 18 month olds name and have done for a while. When he was around 6 months this feeling started and at around 8 months I discussed it with my husband and he said he wasn’t that keen on the name on the first place but he just came round to it because I really liked it. He said well that is his name now he responds to it etc and everyone knows his name so I thought we’ll just leave it now and maybe this feeling will go away I thought it could also be post partum related. Fast forward a year I still don’t like it and I cringe when I call him or anyone else says it and I wish I would’ve persuaded my husband to change it back then (I think he would’ve eventually) it would’ve been so simple then to just amend his birth certificate as he was under 1 and looking back he was still really young for people to get used to the change now it’s a case of changing by deed poll and he seems too old now. Has anyone else been through this? What do I do?

I’m 38 weeks pregnant and really struggling.
My little boy is 23 months and he has turned into an absolute nightmare. the tantrums are so extreme and it’s like walking on eggshells with him. It’s like he is so fragile and emotional and ANY little thing sets him off. He goes to nursery/family 4 days a week and is fine there but I’m finding myself dreading my one day off with him. I’m trying to ignore the tantrum and reward when he stops rather than giving in but I don’t know how to handle this in public when everyone is looking and he’s running away from me. I can’t just pick him up kicking and screaming due to being so heavily pregnant.
He’s definitely worse for me than his dad and others but it’s just so mentally draining, I feel so flat and down about it and it feels like everyone around me isn’t struggling at all with 2 or more children and I keep thinking if I can’t even cope before the baby is here how am I going to cope with 2?
Feel like such a failure.

My baby is almost 11 months old and it’s still such a battle to get him to eat food. I’ve tried purées and & finger foods.
I don’t see how he’s going to drop his formula at 12 months if he’s not eating solids?
Is this something is should chat to the gp about? He often cries and has a tantrum everytime he’s offered food

My 7 month old refuses to hold food in his hands for more than 5 seconds and doesn’t reach for food, he eats realllllly well if I spoon feed him but he’s not interested in picking food up to eat himself he holds it puts it to his mouth then either throws it on the floor or drops it down his front, almost instantly, iv tried to hold off spoon feeding so as he’s hungry enough to want to feed himself but he just screams until I feed him 😩
