He will do it when he is ready just keep doing what the speech therapy has told you to do

We thought my son was going to be running behind in speech but out of nowhere he started saying 2-3 word phrases. Kinda skipped the whole first words thing. I used to sing the alphabet to him while changing him and I would count up to different numbers using the alphabet song as the tune while we were bathing or changing diapers or getting ready for bed. It always caught his attention and he would stop fussing. So it wasn’t a surprise to us when he started counting and doing the alphabet before the other kids but was kinda behind with other basics. We also showed him YouTube videos with the alphabet and colors and things like that so it all came around full circle.

In addition to speech therapy, you could also look into doing early intervention

Just keep repeating the words and sounds he makes my son is 3 and I not talking but is making sounds that sounds like words. His strongest sounds are the abc’s and 1-10

-Talk him through everything you are doing. “ mommy is making lunch” “for lunch you have … … …”
-Repetition and modelling is so important to develop language skills.
-Reading simple short books.
-repeating whatever he says back to him
-teaching sign language and incorporating the words with it
And then lastly just patience… eventually he will talk!

My daughter is in speech Therapy and since she started incorporating sign language for her to communicate, she has started saying more words.
Pregnant with baby number 3. Other two are 5&7 (will be 6&8 by the time baby is born).
We have a two bed house and moving is not an option. Last baby not planned but not unwanted either!
Plan to have baby in our room for the first couple of years then turn our room (the bigger one) into two small rooms for the older boys and put baby in the second (technically third room) smaller room. We will then get a decent sofa bed and sleep in the living room. Is anyone else in a similar situation and got any advice? This way all the children have their own space, and the living room can be turned into our bedroom after they go to bed. I think it’s fine but have had some negative comments

Hi all,
I just wanted to ask what nappies you all prefer, I had my daughter 16 years ago and didn’t really rate pampers back then. What nappies are the best now to avoid leakage etc.
Thanks :)

My breastfeeding journey has been really difficult. My baby struggled with latching, and since his tongue-tie snip around 8 weeks old, he has completely refused the breast. He takes bottles well, but cries whenever I try to bring him to my nipple. 💔
I’m currently pumping and really want to help him latch again, but I’m feeling lost and don’t know what to try next. I have tried nipple shield and he latched couple of times but he struggles and refuses and cries as soon as he feels the fake nipple on his lips. I really really really really want to breastfeed.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Did your baby eventually return to breastfeeding? I’d really appreciate any advice, tips or personal experiences.

What diapers is everyone using for overnight? My 7 month old leaks through no matter what. I've tried sizing up, sizing down, layering a pull up over his normal diaper, multiple overnight changes. No matter what I do every morning he is soaked. I can change him during every wakeup and from 6-10am no matter when we wake up that last stretch of sleep, he leaks through. It's affecting both our sleep. I can tell he's still tired in the morning but once I have to change all his clothes and take his sleep sack off he's too riled up to go back to sleep.

Hello, just curious I seen something earlier of another mums experience about having a second child and experiencing rage towards their first born.
Just wondering if this is fairly common? What’s everyone’s experience with rage and rage towards first born?
With my first I had rage towards the dog and my partner a lot when they would wake the baby a lot, I remember the feeling like it was yesterday and I would feel awful if I had this feeling and less patience towards my first ….
Thinking around a 3 year age gap also so if anyone had any similar age gaps what was your experiences?

Hi all, how are you doing your daytime naps with your baby?
I usually have to breastfeed my baby and then if I’m lucky he’ll fall asleep but if not, he stays awake for hours and won’t go to sleep at all until maybe next feed but even then, he can go hours without sleeping.
I wonder, should I treat naps like night time? We struggle less at night, I change him into his night outfit, put him in his sleep sack and nurse to sleep then transfer to crib. Should I do the same for day time naps? I thought we had to differentiate the two and as they recommend having baby in the same room as you for the first 6 months, I have never really left him alone for a nap so it’s in our bedroom and I don’t really make it super dark or quiet because I need to get stuff done. Just recently I’ve been using a monitor to do some stuff quickly around the house but I’m confused I don’t know what to do.
Also there is almost now way to get him to nap without nursing him to sleep, I can rock him all I want he won’t sleep, he’ll snooze then wake up the second I love ..
