Guys - I am bawling right now. I feel like a failure. We have been trying to potty train my toddler for about 1.5 months or so. We started with an intensive weekend, and that didnt stick. So we have been trying (in this order) pantless, underwear, pull ups - no success. We have tried letting her tell us, scheduled sits, all that. She doesnt care that shes wet or peed on the floor. She was kind of consistently going at least once a day on the potty. Now, its like she is regressing! Shes 27 months. Over the past 7 or so days- absolute REFUSAL to even sit on the potty most times. The few times she does actually sit, she wont go. She will wait until she stands up and goes shortly thereafter. She hasn't gone in the potty in like 4 days?
Guys, everyone told me girls are easier, but this isnt easy. Its like she just doesnt care or doesnt get it.
I feel so hopeless and like a failure. I dont know what else to do!!! I am so upset im crying about it all. I just want to give up.

Potty training sucksssss and is hard but you are not failing! It’s super stressful in the beginning but I think what worked for me when I feel like my son was regressing was we took a break for a couple of weeks. Sometimes when they aren’t getting the concept they just aren’t ready. It’s ok to take a break and try later. I pushed and pushed my son and nothing was working so we took a break for a month then kept trying and he eventually got it. He’s now three and fully potty trained. But also give yourself some grace. You are doing great!

My little one is turning 3 next month and still in diapers. Initially had more interest in potty training but now she flat out refuses. I've tried all of the above, including bribery, nothing works. Mine doesnt pee on the floor but she will hold it. Once i needed a urine sample for the doctor and she held that pee from morning until 3pm despite constantly giving her things to drink. As soon as the diaper went on she peed. Honestly I'm not stressed about it. She will learn eventually.

They only need to be independent on the toilet at school. Why stress about making them now? Both of mine decided they didnt want to wear nappies at 3.5. By then they had enough bladder and bowel control to use the toilet without accidents almost instantly.

I'm not there yet, my LO is only 3 months, but my SIL used m&ms. She gave them 1 m&m everytime they tried it, 1 for wiping correctly, and 1 for washing their hands. I think you could assign a few more tasks and make a game out of it. She is a preschool teacher and it took the kids 3 days to learn the system. My nephew still had occassional accidents because he wouldn't want to stop playing, but my niece picked it up with little issue. This is one area that bribery/games might benefit you over the stress. Good luck!

Your daughter is pretty young still. I don’t think it warrants being too worried yet. Our Pediatrician told us not to push it if she wasn’t showing readiness, she will be more interested closer to 3yo. In daycare kids started using the potty and it was like dominos and all the kids were potty trained after that. My LO started really trying a couple months before turning 3, and fully potty trained at 3.

Mamas please be patient with the little ones and yourself it’s just how it is
Hi everyone! I’m a 20yo mom to a beautiful baby 8month baby girl. My world seems to have been shattered last night when I saw these deleted messages to his ex who he was with before me on my fiancés phone this morning (he has sent them, deleted it, and then silenced the convo so no notifications would come up). He said he was drunk and doesn’t even recall sending that (like that’s any better lmao). We’ve had issues bc of his following and liking habits of certain kinds of content on tiktok but this is beyond what I would have expected. I’m absolutely gutted and I feel like my world just ended. I hate how I wasn’t enough for him, I haven’t even been able to look at myself properly after seeing his likes and saves and now this has be disgusted in myself. I have bpd and the stress is giving me an endometriosis flare right now, I don’t have friends I can talk to. I’m making this post so I can at least pretend to talk to someone who will listen. Thank you for reading 🩷 edit: he’s been playing video games the whole night, literally 0 mention of what happened or our conversation lmao

Hey, this is a bit sad and I’m struggling a bit on my own with a newborn, and my partner is being so off and I haven’t seen him in almost a month and I have reason to believe he is cheating and have no one else to talk to about this… I’m just wondering if anyone else is or has been in the same boat? It’s a bit of a lonely and awful boat to be in currently…

So I am upset about 2 things;
My family (parents, my siblings and their partners) went out to dinner last night for my sisters birthday.
My partner and I were sitting at the end and were the first to arrive. My brother and SIL arrived next and were polite but they sat down 2 seats away from us, my brother on my side, my SIL on my son's. One side of the table was a long booth. This is issue one.
During dinner, I was using chopsticks and while I am not bad, I am not profficiant. I asked my partner how he uses chopsticks so well and he responded "because i'm not a retard". I told him I hate that word and he knows it so why did he use it and asked why he called me an r. He didn't respond. This is issue 2.
I am feeling more hurt about what my partner did but am upset in general.

Hey everyone, I'm feeling so frustrated with the lack of support from my partner. He feels like his role is earning money and mine is mothering but he doesn't have any boundaries with stopping work in the evenings to come and help me. We have argued about it so much and nothing changes. He doesn't take our daughter to any groups, swimming etc. even though he has a very flexible working week and has time to do extra curricular activities himself!
Is anyone else experiencing this? Or how much are your partners helping? I need to know if I'm expecting too much here 😭

For those who are married with children who have separate bank accounts… how does that work for you?
My husband earns more than triple the amount than me. He pays for the rent and half of the utility Bills plus the internet bill monthly and his own bills. Where as I pay for the weekly food shopping, childcare, kids sports, school fees, half of the utility bills plus anything the kids need ( we are also saving for a house deposit so I’m saving as well, whereas normally I’d pay half rent as well) So after all that I have no money left. Yet my husband still has money left to buy coffee 3 times a day, junk food every night, multiple packs of cigarettes, the expensive toothpaste, beauty products etc
Is this normal? Anyone else in this situation?
