Possible C-Section and I live on the 3rd floor.

I am currently pregnant with my third and even though our doctor said I am a candidate for a VBAC after the 2nd C-Section. I want to be prepared because if I have any complications they won't even let me try. The only problem I forsee this time is two things. The first being that we currently live on the third floor with no elevator. Is there a way to get upstairs without aggravating stitches? And I now have a toddler who will be 18 months when my baby gets here. I have thought about a set of stairs to get to the diaper changing station similar to how they have it in a daycare setting but not sure how it'll work out. Any advice?

For the stairs, I recommend using a wrap band thing to prevent from over stretching the incision. And you can use a station, or you can get an over the door organizer for the time being to put the diaper supplies in. Thats what I did.

Stairs were ok for me if I took them really slow. I tried to do them just once a day for the first few weeks.

For diapering I have a floor station. It all goes in a basket that lives on the floor so no lifting needed

I live on the first floor and I panicked about getting up the stairs after my c-section. I just took them one at a time held onto the railing and had someone behind me to help me if I needed it. I went as slow as I possibly could to try and help myself after that I think I went out only a couple times the first week or two so didn’t really use the stairs but once I felt confident enough I did and I was fine

Please help me build a case for elective c-section

Heya! Was hoping someone with experience could help me figure out how hard it is to get approved for elective c-section in the UK. And could help me to build my case for it!

I am 2nd time pregnant after emergency c-section 2.5 years ago. I am only in my first trimester and so far don’t have any specific recommendation for c-section. However for various reasons I would like to request elective one this time.

My main reason is mental health and stressful birth experience. I was desperately trying to request c-section with my first by the end, but everyone just kept offering diverse interventions to avoid it, just to end up having c-section anyway, but unexpected and stressed.

I am also mum of a toddler now with no support group other than my husband around…I simply can’t afford to have relatives hang around for weeks waiting till I go into labor so they can look after my older son

Just looking to hear your experience of getting successfully approved 🙏 I had a first midwife appointment and she booked me with consultant to discuss it

Clear blue pregnancy test

Is it true if it says 1-2 weeks you’re probably 3-4 weeks pregnant?

Just wanted to see if anyone else had these issues.

I was just taken to the hospital by ambulance early this morning. I have never been in so much pain in my life. I woke up out of dead sleep to feeling like I was getting stabbed in my upper center stomach and someone was twisting the knife. I was screaming and throwing up and nothing was helping I couldn’t even get in the car for my fiancee to drive me so ems and cops had to come. They ended up giving me a low dose of fentanyl and it helped me so much. We did blood tests urine tests ultrasounds on my liver and gallbladder all for them to say “he must of just kicked you hard”. I’m 32 weeks pregnant and been feeling him kick me since 16 weeks. This was not that. I felt so dismissed something felt wrong I wasn’t hoping for something to be wrong but at least I would have gotten an answer to what caused me to be in that much pain. I feel okay now I’ve been sleeping all day but am so sore tired and scared it’s going to happen again. It was constant pain so wasn’t contractions. I just feel so defeated and can’t wait to never be pregnant again for the rest of my life.

Bump not growing?

Maybe I'm just freaking out more than usual today but looking at my bump pictures, it feels I haven't grown since 22 weeks and I'm 26.5 weeks. At 20 weeks I had to go back on a medication that is not recommended for pregnancy and one of the dangers is restricted uterine growth. My anxiety is just at an all time high today. Im not looking for anything. Just a safe space to get my concerns out. Im already being monitored extra.
