Co sleeping

Hi everyone - I’ve been co sleeping with my 6 month old baby since he was just under 4 months old and decided the cot life wasn’t for him.

Has anybody experienced any negative impacts of co sleeping, when you eventually get them into their own beds? In an ideal world he’d be in his cot so I can get decent sleep….but it just hasn’t worked out like that, and he sleeps so much better with me in the superking bed 🤣

Thanks

There is nothing negative that comes from co-sleeping. Babies and children who co-sleep experience 13,000 hours more touch by age 3, that’s so so powerful for their developing brain! We’re biologically wired to co-sleep, it’s only the west obsessed with chucking babies in a cot in a seperate room x

Eventually, my boy has gone into his own cot, but still in our room, and he comes in the big bed if he wakes up! It works for us, and he still feels safe. I'm sure, eventually, he'll stop waking up, or wanting to come in with us, which is when we'll know it's time for him to move into his own room.

I’m in the midst of this too, my baby girl is 4.5 months old and we’re doing a bit of a combo deal. She sleeps in the bassinet after bedtime. More often than not, we’d end up co-sleeping if she wakes after she’s fed. She’ll sleep for another 3-4 hours if we’re go sleeping and she’d wake up smiling.
