Should I wake my baby for feeds or changes?

Does anyone have advice on whether to wake a sleepy baby for feeding or changing clothes? I'm nervous about letting my baby sleep long stretches—what do other parents do if their baby misses a feed or needs changing but is sleeping soundly?

I do not wake my baby to feed her. A baby will definitely let you know they're hungry and wake for you! Rest if you got lucky with a good baby that likes to sleep. Its normal 😊

How old is baby?
I wouldnt wake to change clothes.
If baby is weeks old I’d probably wake for feeds 3-4hourly and do clothes and nappy changes then.
Depends on babies age and if they’re gaining weight nicely etc.

It depends on your baby age and weight. Mine is 1 month and they say I should wake her every 3 hours.

They say you can stop waking at night once they get back to their birth weight (assuming this is still a healthy weight) but to continue your regular feeds during the day to ensure the correct calories are still consumed. Change during feeds unless you know their sat in a poo nappy then I would change regardless personally.

I only fed every 2-3 hours until she gained weight and I changed her nappy when it was full or pooped.

In the UK if your baby has passed their birth weight you do not wake them for feeds.

I don’t let her she got more than four hours at a time between feeds. They say once your baby has regained birth weight you don’t need to wake them to feed. I breast feed so I’ll give her one side then change her nappy then do the other side and this seems to work for us!
