Who else feels like this?

I'm 8 weeks postpartum, and lately, I've been struggling with feeling lonely, left out, and forgotten. It seems like everyone checks on the baby, wants to talk about the baby, and asks how he's doing, but sometimes I wish someone would check on me, too. 🥺🤍

I love being Ryder's mama more than words can explain, but I'm still healing, adjusting, and trying to find my place in this new chapter of life. It's possible to be so thankful for your blessings and still have days when your heart feels heavy.

This morning, I listened to Still Waters (Psalm 23) by Leanna Crawford, and it reminded me that even when I feel forgotten by the people around me, God hasn't forgotten me. Psalm 23 reminds us that the Lord is our Shepherd and that He can bring us peace even in our darkest valleys. Sometimes, we need that reminder more than we realize. 🙏🏻🤍

I'm sharing this because I know I'm not the only mama who has felt this way. For those who have experienced these feelings postpartum, is there anything I can do to help myself feel less lonely and more like myself again? How did you navigate this season? I'd genuinely appreciate any advice, encouragement, or even just knowing I'm not alone. ❤️

You are definitely not alone!! My boy, Drew is 4 weeks old and I didn’t leave the house for 3 weeks. Even with my mom coming to help and my husband helping at night, I felt isolated. I still do sometimes. And then I feel guilty, so it’s a cycle.

His birth was pretty traumatic for me and I still can’t talk about it without crying or feeling overwhelmed or anxious. I think that plays a role in the feeling of isolation.

But you are definitely not alone and your feelings are valid!! You are doing amazing, Mama! Don’t forget to put your oxygen mask on first. If you need to go for a walk to breathe for a minute, you’re allowed to ask for help. You’re also allowed to set little one down for 5 minutes (safely of course) and walk away. I had to do this and go yell into a pillow the other day haha. Order some good food that you’ve been craving. Just do something for yourself that makes you feel good!

Here for you!! 🫶🏻

Strange statement

So yesterday, my son, who just turned 3, pointed to the sky and said “Daddy in the sky”. I was so confused because we haven’t talked to him about heaven or anything like that. Then he said “My family up there”, pointing to the sky. I asked who is in the family and he said “Daddy, mommy, baby Rami” (his name). It freaked me out. Anyone had experiences of your toddler saying weird semi spiritual sounding stuff like that?

Coping with lack of sleep?

How am I supposed to function on a few hours of sleep a night?

I have a newborn and a toddler. My husband is working away and we have no family locally who can help.

My newborn and toddler still wake in the night. One might wake, go back to sleep and then the other wakes. Sometimes they are both awake and take forever to settle.

I can’t nap when they nap as I have to do dishes, washing, put clothes away, tidy up, prep meals, shower and brush my teeth. I cannot leave these as it’s my only time of the day where I can get these done.

Long wake window

Help!
My baby boy is barely 2 months old and he can have some long wake windows. I’ve tried everything, trying to get him to go down when he’s yawning, making the room quiet for his nap, not overstimulating him, feeding him and then changing him before putting him to sleep, swaddling, and rocking him while standing but nothing works.
I don’t want him to get into this routine where he’s up for a few hours before he gets too tired to the point where he won’t sleep.
Any tips?

CMPA

My baby is 10 days old and have been told he has CMPA. He doesn’t seem to like the formula and struggles pooping after each feed. Has anyone else experienced this is it normal? What can I do to help him 🥲

Feeding

I have a 5 week old and he feeds almost every hour and I feel like he is empty quicker and mostly doesn’t take a full feed. I have heard that the milk at the beginning is watery and digests quicker than the milk that comes later. My question is if I want him to get the thicker milk to keep him stay full for longer how much should I express out before feeding him?
