Strange statement

So yesterday, my son, who just turned 3, pointed to the sky and said “Daddy in the sky”. I was so confused because we haven’t talked to him about heaven or anything like that. Then he said “My family up there”, pointing to the sky. I asked who is in the family and he said “Daddy, mommy, baby Rami” (his name). It freaked me out. Anyone had experiences of your toddler saying weird semi spiritual sounding stuff like that?

It's hard not to freak out and worry without trying to find meaning to it.

At least he pointed at the sky and not to the ground 😅 that is a bit scary tho haha. Has anyone else maybe said anything about a family member passing away like a grandparent??

Has he read any books about anything sky related? Like going on a plane, flying, even birds?? He might be trying to make links that aren’t the ones that you think they are, I’d try not to worry too much xx

When I was pregnant, my son would talk about the baby in the sky, he was sure it was a boy and it wasn’t the same baby in my tummy..I had a loss prior to pregnancy. He even had a name for this baby. Safe to say I was amazed but also freaked out a tad

Was he trying to point something out to you? My kids will totally point at random things the sun, the tree, the cloud, the sunbeam, the airplane, a balloon. Then I have to guess what they are pointing at.

Maybe he's recognising your family came from the sky/heaven/spiritual realms🙃🙂‍↕️

Kids can see more spiritually than we can. I believe in ghosts and stuff though.

5am wake

How do I get my 14 month old to sleep past 5am?

He doesn't sleep well anyways but when it hits 4:45/5am he wakes crying. I manage to get him back to sleep (he's rocked/bounced) but minutes after transferring back into his cot he wakes crying again then he's up for the day from 5:30

He used to sleep till 6/6:30 sometimes even 7!

How do I stop this? I'm tired 😅 he wakes multiple times anyways then he's ready to be up from 5!!

This has been happening before the clocks went back so I don't think it's that.

TIA

Heart is breaking

So been in hospital for six days today. Following an uncomplicated childbirth, which I thought would be straightforward discharge home. Every time I expect to be going home Something else crops up.
My four year old son is at home with Dad but I feel so guilty and missing him loads. After being told baby’s jaundice levels haven’t improved and he needs yet another heel prick test my heart is breaking and I can feel my mental health deteriorating. Just can’t stop crying. I have also been started on blood thinners now due to extended stay and can’t leave the ward with baby so stuck in these four walls. Literally going insane!
Don’t really know why I’m writing on here guess it’s just a rant.

Coping with lack of sleep?

How am I supposed to function on a few hours of sleep a night?

I have a newborn and a toddler. My husband is working away and we have no family locally who can help.

My newborn and toddler still wake in the night. One might wake, go back to sleep and then the other wakes. Sometimes they are both awake and take forever to settle.

I can’t nap when they nap as I have to do dishes, washing, put clothes away, tidy up, prep meals, shower and brush my teeth. I cannot leave these as it’s my only time of the day where I can get these done.

Long wake window

Help!
My baby boy is barely 2 months old and he can have some long wake windows. I’ve tried everything, trying to get him to go down when he’s yawning, making the room quiet for his nap, not overstimulating him, feeding him and then changing him before putting him to sleep, swaddling, and rocking him while standing but nothing works.
I don’t want him to get into this routine where he’s up for a few hours before he gets too tired to the point where he won’t sleep.
Any tips?
