How am I supposed to function on a few hours of sleep a night?
I have a newborn and a toddler. My husband is working away and we have no family locally who can help.
My newborn and toddler still wake in the night. One might wake, go back to sleep and then the other wakes. Sometimes they are both awake and take forever to settle.
I can’t nap when they nap as I have to do dishes, washing, put clothes away, tidy up, prep meals, shower and brush my teeth. I cannot leave these as it’s my only time of the day where I can get these done.

My HV said that you only need a 4 hour block for your brain to work with a newborn because of hormones etc.
My only advice would be to batch cook a few days at a time. Be kind to yourself on the tough days. Does your toddler have any nursery days? I will get a little nap on the days by eldest is at preschool.
I also let my eldest come in the bed with me because he will go straight back to sleep then and not wake as often as when he is in his own bed.

Honestly. You just get used to it. I wa someone who NEEDED 8hrs sleep a night. Now I get probably 6 but very broken. I’m back at work full time and have 2 kids. You just get used to it

I have one baby girl she’s almost 7 months and she is between 2 or 3 naps a day and one of those naps I always try to join and sleep as well. She naps longer when I lie with her and also it gives me rest. And then chores once she sleeps at night at around 8pm and I’ve also recently decided to get a cleaner to help with some of the chores.
So yesterday, my son, who just turned 3, pointed to the sky and said “Daddy in the sky”. I was so confused because we haven’t talked to him about heaven or anything like that. Then he said “My family up there”, pointing to the sky. I asked who is in the family and he said “Daddy, mommy, baby Rami” (his name). It freaked me out. Anyone had experiences of your toddler saying weird semi spiritual sounding stuff like that?

How do I get my 14 month old to sleep past 5am?
He doesn't sleep well anyways but when it hits 4:45/5am he wakes crying. I manage to get him back to sleep (he's rocked/bounced) but minutes after transferring back into his cot he wakes crying again then he's up for the day from 5:30
He used to sleep till 6/6:30 sometimes even 7!
How do I stop this? I'm tired 😅 he wakes multiple times anyways then he's ready to be up from 5!!
This has been happening before the clocks went back so I don't think it's that.
TIA

So been in hospital for six days today. Following an uncomplicated childbirth, which I thought would be straightforward discharge home. Every time I expect to be going home Something else crops up.
My four year old son is at home with Dad but I feel so guilty and missing him loads. After being told baby’s jaundice levels haven’t improved and he needs yet another heel prick test my heart is breaking and I can feel my mental health deteriorating. Just can’t stop crying. I have also been started on blood thinners now due to extended stay and can’t leave the ward with baby so stuck in these four walls. Literally going insane!
Don’t really know why I’m writing on here guess it’s just a rant.

Help!
My baby boy is barely 2 months old and he can have some long wake windows. I’ve tried everything, trying to get him to go down when he’s yawning, making the room quiet for his nap, not overstimulating him, feeding him and then changing him before putting him to sleep, swaddling, and rocking him while standing but nothing works.
I don’t want him to get into this routine where he’s up for a few hours before he gets too tired to the point where he won’t sleep.
Any tips?
