Roadtrip with 16 month old

Going on a 7 hour roadtrip with my 16 month old. Any suggestions for toys or age appropriate activities to keep him entertained in the car? Would also love any suggestions for healthy and easy meals/snacks I can keep in a cooler!

Ours is 15m and we've done 6-8hr drives with her a handful of times since she was 5m

For toys we keep these in the car:
Fidget spinner
Rattle
Book light clip
Duck (thats actually a squeaky dog toy)
Idk want its called but its like 2 pyramids attached together and each side has a different thing to do (a plug, a spinner, a buckle, buttons etc)
Fisher price game controller
Little Einstein music thing

For snacks we always take:
Cheerios
Plum toddler fruit snacks
Gerber puffs
Gerber crunchies
Stony field yogurt pouch
Beechnut veggie pouch
Those dry yogurt snacks
Plenty of extra water
Our little one loves a cheese burger and a patty with cheese is little to no clean up besides a hand wipe 👍🏼

Also if you dont already, sitting in the back with him might make it more fun if possible 😁

How to get my son to stop watching tv?

My son is 2. I’m solo parenting. I work 9-5 remote. When he wakes up from his nap around 2-3pm I struggle to keep him entertained until I finish my shift so end up putting the tv on. He now is getting upset when I turn it off and is now watching it longer than I’d like him to. He is watching on average 2 hours a day when I’d prefer him to watch less than 1 hour as per guidelines. Any at home activities I can set up for him? Pls recommend!!! I’m desperate!!!!

Pet resentment

Can’t believe I’m posting this as I swore it wouldn’t be me. But my baby is 2 weeks tomorrow and I just wish my cat wasn’t here. I wish he could just go in a cat hotel for a few months. I feel like he makes my anxiety 10x worse. He jumped on her highchair whilst she was in it and she has a tiny scratch on her arm. It makes me honestly hate him. Then I feel so terribly guilty, it’s not his fault at all and I think he can sense my energy. Did anyone else get this and when did it go away? I want to love him the way I did asap.

Am I being ungrateful, or am I asking for the bare minimum?

I'm a stay-at-home mom to an almost 2-year-old. My partner works and pays our household bills, which are around $350–$400 a month, excluding his personal expenses. Sometimes he also gives me an allowance of about $500, which I appreciate.
I do the majority of the cooking, cleaning, childcare, and pretty much everything that comes with running the household.
Here's where I'm struggling. Sometimes I get frustrated because I want him to help more around the house or take care of our daughter so I can go to the gym, have some time to myself, or simply rest without having to worry about the baby.
I understand that he works and financially supports us, and I'm grateful for that. But sometimes I feel like because I'm a stay-at-home mom, I'm expected to be on duty 24/7, while he gets to clock out.
I don't want to feel guilty for wanting time to take care of myself, too.
So, moms, please be honest with me. Am I being ungrateful because he pays the bills and sometimes gives me money? Should I just accept that the household and childcare are my responsibilities? Or is it reasonable to expect him to share some of those responsibilities even though I'm not financially contributing right now?
I genuinely want different perspectives because sometimes I question whether I'm asking for too much or whether my feelings are valid.

Why does the school guilt you into paying for extras your child cannot do?

My twins are in senior kindergarten.
One has autism level 1 and my son is autism level 3.
Neither will likely be interested in painting something from crockadoodle.
I think I got the paper in their mail bag but I threw it out because I didn't want to pay for something they can't do or won't be interested in. Today we got a guilt email that 7 children haven't paid and we should get that done. I don't want to pay for extras to be done at school. Why can't they just do some coloring. I feel like it's a cash grab that we have to break down and pay. So I'm $25 poorer because it's apparently a problem i need them to do. My son is absolutely not capable of painting this thing. I'm disappointed and discouraged because it's a waste of money in our tight budget.
