Im really trying but lost

My son is 15 and I dont know to do. He has almost all f in school and is refusing to do his work its either I forgot or he just flat out doesn't do it and argues on why he hasn't. He also go in trouble for repeatedly talking to random people online some of which are over 18. Anything he does wrong he always finds a way to try to blame someone else. He was down to an old tv that he could only watch DVD or vhs on. He even got busted getting on his school computer to talk to people. I have a doctor's appointment set up for him but I just am at a loss. He says all the time he didnt care if he fails he will just make it up later but fails to listen when I say playing catch up is going to be ten times harder than it is now. He claims hes struggling in school but hes just flat out refusing to do the work. When hes told no he just pushes and push and will not stop arguing he even said he just wants to see how far he can push it at times. Im at my breaking point

So sorry you’re dealing with this. I had a similar issue. A lot of mine came from split custody between two very different households. I would try counseling and is he able to switch his learning environment?

Online schooling , preferably in school . I went to school and sat at a computer for 8 hours . Helped me get caught up on my classes . In the areas I felt hopeless, graduating on time seemed hopeful . I was 2 credits away from graduating. Stupid not to . He needs a job and counseling also. Not just counseling for him , family counseling. Even short term family therapy can help shift you two towards that mother- son dynamic that you’re striving for . My kids are only 2 but I had a troublesome teenage years not long ago behind me . These are things that helped me cope . He could also be depressed .

Looking for childcare advice

My baby will turn 1 year in January, and I resume full-time work at 7 to 7(I will enquire about flexible working) if I can start from 8am since the childminder and nursery I have contacted starts at 7:30. My partner has flexible working already start at 10am but the downside is that he got a job very far where he has to leave early and drive. Basically, drop off and pick up,I have to be present. He works Monday to Thursday. My working days varies including both day shift and night shifts. Any advice or enlightenment is much welcome, I feel so lost, and my heart is breaking for my little one.

Partners

Is anyone else’s husband/boyfriend terrible at soothing the baby? I keep feeling like I need to let them work it out but at the same time I can see they are both having an awful time and it’s hard not to intervene. I hate seeing baby crying and he instantly stops when I grab him, but I also know I need to let my husband learn to deal with it so it is really hard to know what to do.

How do you make your life interesting?

Hi mamas, I'm a SAHM with a 20-mo old boy and find it mentally really hard. I'm naturally someone who needs quite a bit of mental stimulation and the repetitive days are just killing me. I go to playgroups and toddler activties 3-4 times a week but it somehow isn't enough for me. And I feel like I've lost the joy and spark I used to have pre-baby. I love him and he makes me smile every day but I'm also drained and feeling low and lonely and can't appreciate this time with him enough. Part of the problem is that we moved cities 6 months ago for my partner's job and I don't yet have any close friends and my family and old friends are far away. I just feel like my life insn't very interesting for myself at the moment.

If there's anyone who can relate or has gone through similar emotions, I'd love to hear any tricks, hacks, solutions, mental shifts you might have found to help. Thank you for reading ❤️

Struggling!

Hey Mummas, I hate to write this as I feel embarrassed that I’m struggling! But the last 2 nights have been horrific, with lots of restlessness and crying, even after a change, milk, cuddle and it’s the same through the day 😢.
Unless he’s on me and we’re stood up, he’s constantly chewing on everything, I just feel at a loss and as though I’m failing and I feel so lonely, my husband is amazing but it feels like he can carry on like normal but I feel broken.
Any tips/advice?
