What is all of your unhinged hacks that worked when transitioning baby from co sleeping to their own crib. She 4.5 month old. She will only sleep on my chest but recently will get aggravated when she doesn’t have enough leg room. We have been transitioning her to the crib at night and it started off sleeping 20-30 min then she would wake up and needed to be soothed. We are on day 5 and now she wakes up screaming crying and we have a hard time soothing her and end up just giving up and co sleeping the rest of the night. My husband will 5 days off coming up so seems like the perfect time to really take the effort to transition her but needing all the hacks and advice to make it easier.

She is stil sooo young and it will be terrifying for her to be so close to sleeping with you then to being in this big open scary space. Try not to rush it too much and maybe try again when she is a couple months older. Have you tried swaddling? It helps them feel like they are still in what the womb felt like.
In the UK we are recommended to wait till 6 months to move into their own room to reduce the risk of SIDs.
You could also try white noise.
Just remember not to put too much pressure. They are still so tiny, you have all the time in the world to transition them.

I would be wary of swaddling at this age as the previous commenter said. Maybe very temporarily with one arm out. My 4.5 is already rolling to his tummy so he just uses a sleep sack.
Definitely white noise. You'll probably just have some rough nights while baby gets used to sleeping independently. Putting my baby down for naps really drowsy but still awake has helped some. He sleeps fine at night in the crib but naps are bad

So drowsy for the naps works for us but not overnight for some reason. But may work for you
First time mum here, my little girl is going to be 4 month old for Christmas, just after some suggestions for some presents for her, any toys etc you found your babies used around this age ? Xxx

10 weeks this week and it feels like we’ve went from sleeping throughout the night to now waking up every 2-4 hours throughout the night… I thought they were supposed to give longer stretches at this age but instead it feels like we’re getting shorter ones…. Any advice it words of encouragement?😩

Ladies who have sex a few days/weeks after giving birth are only doing it for their men/to keep them happy/doing it in fear of them cheating & not because they are ACTUALLY ready or horny AND I'm 99.9% sure they don't fucking enjoy the experience either as their bodies are STILL recovering!!!
Love yourselves more ladies & stop letting your men guilt trip you into having sex & using your bodies as sex toys!

I’ve only been out once around day 10 with Baby for a check up at the clinic which was fine but we haven’t done anything else yet and coming up for 3 weeks? Anyone got any advice on when and how to start taking Babies out? Especially living in rainy winter weather

Why is everyone obsessed with taking my baby from me. People taking him and holding him is fine, but the whole visit they will have him and wont give him back to me, i feel they think its a joke and laugh saying i need to share with family but it gives me huge anxiety.
People suggesting i leave him with them to go “rest”, i don’t want to. I want my baby with me he is only 5 weeks old! Everyone has had their time and this is my time.

I made my best friend of 13 years the godmother to my son (she lives in GA and I live in PA. She attended both baby showers in two different states. She is getting married in Mexico next year. At the time I told her it wouldn’t be a problem for me to attend. Now that my son is here and the wedding will happen before he is even 1 I can’t imagine leaving him, not to mention how expensive the trip will be for just two/three days. She offered to help financially, she said my son can attend, but I’m not comfortable traveling outside of the country with him and my husband does not want to go or want me to go alone for safety reasons. After explaining this to her she seemed understanding. I also mentioned how I’m struggling postpartum with PPD AND PPA. She told
Me to just focus on my mental health and my baby and to let her know for sure by a later date if I could attend or not closer to the wedding. After this conversation she began to ice me out and not really continue conversations. She hasn’t asked about her godson she was so excited about or checked on me after opening up about my mental health. I confronted her about my feelings and it didn’t go well. To sum it up she feels upset and says she knows I have a village and chose to take space from me. She says I want her to get on a plane for the third time in 6 months when I can’t get on a plane for the only thing she asked me to attend. Which I didn’t not ask her to attend both showers and it was her idea to visit once he was born. We both have been there for one another through it all and it hurts to know she isn’t there for me at such a difficult time in my life and has not even asked about her godson. I think our friendship is over. Anyone have any thoughts?
