At this age I did a little taste of whatever I was eating. So like a teaspoon of new food three times a day? Makes it easier as you don't have to do separate shizzle for the baby and you.

I try to give a new fruit/veg every few days or so to check for allergies, then start mixing them up etc but don't do what I did and stress about it too much! 'Food before 1 is just for fun' is something I live by now and it has removed a lot of the pressure 😊 Just havs fun with it at this point ā¤ļø

Nursery is costing me a fortune

I don’t even mean the fees. The last 3 weeks she’s had two lunch boxes broken and now her coat that I got last weekend is stained with paint. I get their clothes get ruined hence why I usually get bundles second hand from Vinted but i don’t know why she was painting in her coat when she has a puddle suit for outside 😩 I’m just ranting because I know kids get dirty but I can’t keep affording to keep replacing everything 😩

Am I asking too much?

My husband is unemployed (not by choice), we have a 6 year old in full day kindergarten and an almost 2 year old at home. I work full time but have a hybrid schedule - only have to go in to the office 2 days a week. So that means sometimes I am at home working, or handling household tasks while parenting the 2 year old.

When my husband is home all day with the two year old, he handles caring for her and will cook dinner.

If I work from home while he has an interview or appt, I will care for the two year old and get household chores done around the house (tidying up, doing laundry, cleaning the kitchen, organizing our daughters toys/clothes). If I’m at the office, I usually come home to a messy house, laundry to put away, etc.

When I asked him how he could help me at home, he said he didn’t know. Said he would be busy with our two year old but could clean up the kitchen. Our bedroom has been covered in laundry for weeks and I seem to be the only one that makes an effort to put it away.

Am I asking for too much when thinking he could make more of an effort multitasking work around the house while he’s with our two year old? Or Should I stop comparing women and men’s efforts with multi-tasking with children?

Food

Any advice on how to get my daughter to eat better? She has a bottle in the morning and has breakfast like an hour later. But doesn't eat much of it then she just snacks most the rest of the day. If I try to hold off in hopes she'll eat better at lunch she just cries until I give her a snack. She's only like this when we're at home. When we're out she still has snacks but is al ot more chill about it all.

Meal times

Does anyone else’s babies just launch food off their plate straight onto the floor. This was expected but I feel like it’s become a game and I don’t know how to stop it 🤣 he never ends up eating any of it, it all just ends up on the floor. Any ideas on how to overcome or is it something we will just have to ride out?🄹🤣
