RENAL PELVIS DILATATION at 20 weeks pregnant

I’m currently pregnant and the babies both kidneys are dilated. One kidney 7.4mm and the other is 9mm. Has anyone experienced this or do they know anyone who has experienced this ?
Has it gone better or what did your baby have to go through? They think it could be blocked ? I need people who experience this

Not sure if this is the same but they found out when my baby was 4 weeks old that one kidney is double the size of the other. They said nothing to worry about. What does blocked mean?

Hi, I have had a similar ish experience - I have a 4m old and we found out at her 20 week scan that one kidney was abnormal; small in size, covered in cysts and likely blocked.
Having blocked kidneys can affect ability to pass urine and can lead to more frequent UTIs as a result. We were referred to fetal medicine consultants for monitoring and since shes been born we've been seen by renal pediatrician and had further testing just this week. Happy to chat, I hope this helps!

Hi, yes we found out my son had this on our 20 week scan! One of his kidneys was more dilated than the other (apparently quite common for boys? 🤷🏻‍♀️)
They didn’t say about them being blocked as they always checked them when I had growth scans. When he was born he was prescribed Trimethoprim which he has everyday. He had a kidney ultrasound at 6 weeks, then another when he was about 4 months and they had improved significantly.
We saw the paediatric consultant the other week who are happy to do another scan in a month or so just to make sure they’re still happy with how they’re reacting to the antibiotics!
I think they were most worried about urine infections and making sure the urine wasn’t going up into the kidneys. We took him to the hospital a few times as he had a high temperature and they always checked his urine for infection markers.
Happy to answer anymore questions! :)

40 weeks and a failed membrane sweep

I feel like before my sweep I was having so many contractions and everything felt like it was progressing and now after the last three days have been very quiet other then back pain on and off for a few hours and the now rare contraction, I'm a super active person and not even me moving around a shit tone is causing them and I'm worried I'll have to be induced because lil girl is hella comfy in there.
