Blood test to confirm pregnancy

What have people been told around blood tests to confirm pregnancy? I have taken an early detection test, (period is due in 2days) and it's come back positive I really want to confirm it or not? Is there a certain time to wait?

If you got a positive at home I’m sure they’ll do a blood test right away. I got my positive 12dpo and they gave me a blood test that same day since I told them I got a positive! Congrats!!

Depends on your doctor. For me I never did a blood test to confirm. Only booked my 8 week appointment

My last pregnancy they did a blood test right away to confirm and this time they just went straight into booking my 8week appt for dating ultrasound. I’m sure you can request a blood test if you want to be certain and you’re not 100% confident in your at home test!

I got a positive 10DPO, took HCG test at 11DPO and my levels were 143.

Maternity allowance

Hi guys! So I am currently on maternity leave with my boy and pregnant again, my maternity leave is almost over (I took the full 52 weeks off) so I am due back work soon! I have just had an email saying I’m not eligible for statuary maternity pay again and they are sending me a form to apply for maternity allowance! I would only be back at work for approx 6-8 weeks before going on maternity again! So I thought I would use my holidays instead of actually going back but the manager has actually refused them. What I’m wondering is, if I was to hand in my notice, would I still technically be eligible for maternity allowance and get the full amount or would it be the £27 a week? Because if I did do that, then they would obviously still have to pay me my holidays that I’m entitled to?

Change of religion when married.. advice please!

Hi all, my husband has very recently and out of the blue turned to Christianity (we were atheist). I’ve been super supportive, we’re speaking a lot about it, I’m reading the bible to understand. To be clear I don’t have an issue with it at all (I went to a Christian school, just wouldn’t say I’ve found Jesus myself 🤷🏼‍♀️).
I just wondered if anyone has been in a similar situation? What if I can’t come to the same conclusion and we end up not being of the same religion?

Really hoping someone’s gone through similar and may give me an idea of how it turned out please 🙏

Why am I so pathetic...

I just cant walk away from this "friendship" that is so glaringly obviously one way..I go 3 days feel great and then just end up caving in and messaging to see how they are
