I use a spoon full of organic aloe vera gel and a drop of tea tree oil mixed in on my sanitary towels which I then put in the freezer within a container. Someone told me to do it before birth.... It saved my life!! This isn't medical advice, just something that I did and worked for me. I also invested in a donut ring to ease pressure around the area... salt baths also great.
I hope you have a speedy recovery and congratulations on your gorgeous baby x

Maternity pads soaked in water & then frozen, sitting in warm shallow bath & just simply rest! I tried both bottoms up spray & spritz for bits I found them okay to have on hand, but theyโ€™re werenโ€™t amazing for me. Congratulations!! โค๏ธ

Gorgeous baby! Slightly different answer, but somehow related. A few people I know developed fissure thinking it was part of the episiotomy. Hopefully you wonโ€™t have that, but watch out for it as it requires a different type of treatment.

I had a large episiotomy cut with my first which actually split open 2 days after leaving hospital... I found 10 minute soaks in the bath and letting air get to the wound helped a lot, also rather than wiping after the toilet I would use a jug of water just to save having to touch the stitches for the first few days. I felt like I would never heal but all of a sudden around 3/4 weeks after the birth I was fine ๐Ÿ˜Š ... congratulations on your little girl, sheโ€™s beautiful x

Lavender oil in a bath is amazing, helps so much

My midwife also said to try and do pelvic floor exercises, although you may not be able to achieve much muscle movement by trying to use the muscle youโ€™re increasing the blood flow to there which will help with healing it quicker.

My expert midwife spritz for bits is a life saver!! Also a jug for pouring water down yourself after going for a wee, and I was told to let the air get to it if possible c

I had an episiotomy a few weeks ago. I bought a peri bottle from amazon which i will recommend to every new mum 100 times over. Fill with warm water and use it to clean each time you wee and while you are weeing. It has a long neck that you can direct where you want it. Ibuprofen and paracetamol stock up! Sit on a donut cushion. Donโ€™t push yourself to do too much too quickly! Epsom salts baths. You can buy pads with cold packs in them from amazon. And be warned the pain was at its worst day 5 for me!

Congratulations on your gorgeous girl! Xxx

Try to keep it dry n vent as much as you can ! I used lavender oil on my stitches as nothing else helped n it did the trick! Have not used salts or taken baths as was trying to keep it dry as much as I could! Some people advice to sit on round cushions with hole in the middle so you donโ€™t put extra pressure on stitches! I have tried everything and still took ages to heal! Lavender oil reduced inflammation n pain! But I only came up with this idea quite late therefore was struggling for months ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

When did you circumcise your baby?
If you DID NOT or DO NOT have a circumcised son DO NOT comment this post is not for you!

Did you wait a certain amount of time or have it done immediately?
Again respectfully, this is only for the parents who choose to do so.
opinions about how not necessary it is will not be appropriate for this post. Thank you in advance. ๐Ÿฉต

My boyfriend booked a trip for us to go to mexico for a week as my push present. I have severe anxiety leaving my 7 month old with my mom. I know she will be in good hands but sheโ€™s exclusively breast fed for the most part but accepts bottles just fine. i have all my pumping parts packed and will pump when baby normally eats but i donโ€™t want baby to forget me or have latch issues when i return!! any mommas ever experience this?

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
Iโ€™m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesnโ€™t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, donโ€™t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if Iโ€™m wrong but Iโ€™ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

Car seat crying

My 6 month old PANICS the second I put him in a car seat and screams, cries, chokes and recently even projectile vomited on a 14 minute drive. Itโ€™s gotten to the point I donโ€™t even bring him out unless itโ€™s to a doctors appointment. Iโ€™m a stay at home mom with no family in my state and it has been very isolating. Weโ€™ve tried 3 different car seats with no improvement. Has anyone had a baby who hated the car seat? Any advice? This started at 3 months. I will add it does seem worse when heโ€™s tired. He does cry on every trip though. He only contact naps and co sleeps so he reaches for me and will not sleep in the car seat.

Sex post C section

Hi ladies Iโ€™m 4 weeks 5 days postpartum and I had a C section. Iโ€™m not bleeding properly anymore just some brownish discharge stuff that starts on and off. Iโ€™d like to do the deed with my partner; is it okay to do so or shall I wait the full 6 weeks. I feel up for it but also worried because the advice is 6-8 weeks.

Postpartum

Iโ€™m only 3 days postpartum (FTM) and already have extremely bad anxiety. Iโ€™m crying every night, as I think of another night of no sleep. My baby will not settle in his cot, he cries every moment we put him down unless in his chair rocker. So me and my partner are having to alternate after 3/4 hours of being awake with him downstairs. Iโ€™m trying everything to get him to settle. Itโ€™s a load of overwhelming stress. Iโ€™m 23, I was desperate for a baby and now I have one and feel completely useless. I miss it just being me and my partner.
