Sleep training problems at 12 months old

We have been co-sleeping with our almost 12 month old baby (I know it’s not good, no judgement please) one parent sleeps with the baby and the other on the couch. We started doing that after she couldn’t fit in the bassinet anymore and would not go in the crib. We keep putting it off because she is so very attached to us especially because of being a covid baby. She doesn’t even sleep well during co-sleeping. She wakes up at cries 5-7 times a night. She’s teething pretty badly so I think that’s why she’s waking up so much. She’s not going through her leap yet so that can’t be it.
When we do put her in the crib to start she cries so much she makes herself vomit.
Anyone else out there have any suggestions especially about the vomiting. I’m trying to figure out which method to use but this is one of the biggest problems with the sleep training.
Also we only have a one bedroom apartment right now so that makes it harder. I also was going through ppd but now I’ve come out of it. That held us back with the sleep training. New parents here.

Hi! I recommend reading 12 hours by 12 weeks! It saved our sleep SO much! It’s an easy read and they even have an audio book. We now have our little one sleeping 12 hours a night and he is on a feeding and napping routine. The first week is difficult but once you push through it works!

My baby is 7 months so a little younger than yours, and isn’t too bad in her own bed but she takes a long while to settle.
Has she got a comforter/teddy or something you can sleep with for a few days so it smells of you, same with cot sheets, put her in the baby grow/pjs that she wore the night before (while sleeping with you) have a really good bedtime routine and put her down in the cot and stay with her the whole time, hand on her/shhing/patting anything that helps her.
Maybe first few nights try putting her down really sleepy and see how she goes.
Like I say my baby does sleep in her bed but she’s a nightmare to get down I have to feed or rock her to sleep she won’t go down on her own, but these things have helped me in the past she’s just been moved to her own room. Xx

You don’t have to let your baby cry. Especially if she throws up from it. There’s other way less traumatizing options. Have you heard of sleep associations? So pretty much you do something while putting baby to sleep that baby will associate with sleep. For instance, when you put her to sleep in your bed, pat her butt or sing a song, hum, something of that nature; if you don’t do that already. Once baby is used to sleep associations, you can start doing that but while baby is in the crib. Don’t leave her until she’s fully asleep. So put her in the crib and pat her butt or hum. Then if she wakes up and starts crying out for you, go in and comfort her with the sleep association. She’s also old enough now that you can introduce a lovey or security blanket. Wear the blanket or lovey around the house so it gets your scent. Also, sleep on her crib sheet so it smells like you. It’s more work and takes a bit longer, but doesn’t result in half the tears or vomit.

11 month old constantly standing in cot

Please tell me someone has some advice for this cause wow it’s trying. My almost 11 month old is fully on the move now and his new favourite thing is repeatedly pulling to stand in his cot. The problem is that he wears a sleep sack (mainly so his legs don’t get stuck between the bars tbh lol) so he’s not stable enough to lower himself down. So earlier he fell backwards and hit is head and now we feel like we can’t just leave him to it. Typically it’s his first full day at nursery tomorrow and my first day back at work IT’S LIKE HE KNOWS!!
Please tell me someone has some tips. Currently we are quietly placing him back on his back every time but he just keeps doing it! 🤣🤡

Took 9 week old to a family party where there was loud music and she was next to the speaker for most of the time (about 3 hours). She slept through most of it. Do you think she has hearing loss from this?

Freaking out right now :(

Struggling in the 4 month regression

How are people getting out of the 4 month regression? I’ve been looking it up and it says I need to be trying to put him down drowsy but awake but this does not work for my LO. Every time we do this he ends up being wide awake and after almost an hour of trying we have to contact nap/rock to sleep. I want to avoid rocking to sleep because now when he wakes up in the night he needs to be rocked back to sleep which he never used to need.

Nights are constantly broken because we are up 2-3 times to rock him back to sleep. Please give me your tips on how to survive this and how to get out of this!! Constantly feel like I’m failing and doing something wrong

Bedtime

What time are you getting your LOs down for the night now and how are you finding bedtime? We’ve had the sane routine since my daughter was a few weeks old - bath with her older sister and 6.45, followed by a bottle and ideally in bed by 7.30. This worked at first but over the last few weeks she’s been fighting it a lot and, with the exception of a few days last week which were a lot easier, it’s a bit of a battle to get her down and features a lot of screaming and resettling. Not sure if we are putting her down too early or late? Her last nap is usually a cat nap (30-45 mins) and finishes by 6. She’s pretty good at settling herself from a night feed, but seems to be unable to do it at bedtime, even with her dummy.
