4 month sleep regression - self settling

I keep hearing that the only way to solve the constant night wake ups and short daytime naps during the 4 month sleep regression is by getting your baby to self settle / sleep independently. Is this always the case or can babies grow out of this behavior on their own? Keen to hear people’s thoughts and experiences!

Fighting Sleep

It’s 3 am and my baby refuses to sleep. He kept babbling when I told him it’s bed time. Pulls out the pacifier and continues to go off. I don’t know what to do other than I guess wait it out.

Too much day sleep

My 8.5 month old is currently having 4 hours sleep in the day which is affecting her night sleep as she’s been waking up at 5am no matter what time she goes to bed. I’m thinking I need to cut down her naps in the day to either 3 1 hour naps or 2 1.5 hour naps but I’ve read not to wake a sleeping baby and sometimes h...

Comforter in cot?

My lo is 15 months old and has recently developed an attachment to a comforter. The kind with a small soft blanket attached to a soft animal head. I have been very anxious about letting him have it for sleeping overnight but am I being over cautious? Does anyone else let their baby have one and if so from what age?
