I’m a Mom… and I would freaking love a friend. Or two, or three… but anytime I have tried Mom Meetups or anything like that, I’m either the oldest one there (37) or it’s the most awkward meeting of my life and I just want to go home and be alone lol. Has anyone been successful making friends with this app or any other way as an adult? It seems like it should be so easy to find a community but MAN is it hard. I have like 3 people I talk to randomly, and we hang out like twice a year for dinner. I just want a friend or gang of friends to go eat dinner, catch lunch, go camping, take out on the boat, whatever. Sometimes I just want to invite someone over for Taco Tuesday. I need success stories or something!!

No success stories sadly, but I feel you. 😩 I have one friend in the area that I've known forever, but she doesn't have kids so it's not the same! I had one really close "mom friend," but they moved to Rhode Island in 2020 and I have yet to make another one. It's just so hard! But I miss the connection so much, it's so hard to explain the lonely feeling. I'm happy to chat, if you want! 💕

I have a couple friends out here but they again are so much younger than me and have no kids so… they come over for their kid fix… or chicken/turkey/birds in general petting zoo fix and then I don’t see them for 6 months. I just really miss the in person connections where we would all do stuff together. AND it’s so hard because even when you meet with that one person that shows up, sometimes you don’t click and you don’t hear from them ever again. I swear, it’s like dating all over again and I’m like, “BUT I GOT MARRIED SO I WOULDN’T HAVE TO DO THIS” 🤣 Maybe WE can be friends, is that a thing?

YES except I almost feel like this is harder than dating! 🤣 I completely agree though, I miss doing random "nothing" things with a friend or a few! I am totally happy to chat or hang out if you want, it sounds like we are very much in the same boat. 😆

YES, why can I not find anyone other than my kids to go to Target with me anymore? I don’t need an extravagant $200 meetup experience with the kids, I just want someone to come hang out with their kids while I feed the chickens and cook dinner and have everyone running around causing chaos while we try to figure out what we shouldn’t have bought at the dollar spot. I don’t even GO to target anymore. Like, coffee from my keurig that’s literally sitting there in all it’s glory only making coffee for ONE is embarrassing these days. 🤣 I don’t even care about coffee. I just want a friend whatever the adventure is, even if it’s sitting in a hammock in the trees or walking dogs or watching Bluey, like I literally don’t care.

Umm I totally feel you lol! I’ll hang out! Currently pregnant but definitely need mom friends and friends around my age (I am 33)

Hi Megan! New to the app but was noticing the same thing. I’m 32!
I’ve tried mom walks and meetups too and same result. Makes me feel old and awkward when the other moms are early twenties.
What’s your favorite kind of taco?

Should we have an “old mom” get together where we all are okay with occasional awkward silence? Making friends as an adult is very hard!

Yes! Love the idea of a get together! A girls-gang! Let’s do this!!!

I see that this is a semi old thread but this is why I just joined this app, iv heard over on fb that there are this illusive friends being made over here, I'm 35 and lonely, I'm a single mom not quite ready to date but I need friends

Hi there! I'm 33 and my younger one is also 4, well be happy to hang around! Just opened this app after seeing some post on Facebook and thought maybe there's somebody as lonely as me lol
