Unfortunately head engaged doesn't necessarily mean labour is near, its a positive sign that baby is getting into position in the pelvis but baby can be engaged for days/weeks prior to labour starting, I've been engaged for 2 weeks and no baby yet

I’ve been engaged (4/5) since 8th Jan and didn’t get to 3/5 until 10th Feb and still 3/5 now at 38 weeks 4 days. I think our babies are comfy and we are making them good homes 😊❤️

Baby was 4/5 engaged at 32 weeks but now I’m 40+5 and not engaged 🥲 baby can bob in and out.

Also engagement is the opposite to what you think so 0/5 is total engagement

Thanks ladies, back to bouncing on my

I think different midwives use it differently… I was not engaged at all at my 34 week appointment, then she wrote 1/5 engaged at my 36 week one… I’m sure my baby wasn’t fully engaged then…

I feel like a lot of us have been discussing this for a while so I’ve pieced together what we’ve all said (water birth, c section mamas might need more). Other 2 x screenshots in the comments. If anyone spots anything missing feel free to add below ⬇️

Birth options

Hello! I am 16 weeks pregnant and I am finally able to start thinking about my birth now! I am so 50/50 between natural and c-section.

I would love to hear your thoughts!

What type of birth did you have Andrew you happy you chose it?

Or what type of birth are you looking to have?

Thank you so much Xxx

Royal London Hospital maternity Triage

Has anyone had any experience at the RLH maternity triage (6th floor) and if so, what was your experience like?

On two occassions I have been there regarding concerns with my health during this pregnancy and have had an unpleasent experience from the staff on the front desk, seems to be always one in particular where they have been dismissive with the sort of attitude like "why are you here" "we can't help you with that here" It's made me anxious about having to ever go there again, if need be. 🫤
