Car seat safety - Nuna Arra

My LO absolutely hates the car and always has. We have a Nuna arra seat where the newborn insert comes out when they are 60cm. Ive measured him and he's over 60cm so I've taken the newborn insert out but his head is flopping forward and it looks horrible. It wasn't like that with the insert in. Has anyone else taken their insert out yet? Does your babies head do the same? I always keep pulling over every minute to do breathing checks.

Same here with the Nuna car seat! My baby is over 60cm so we took the insert out and he just didn’t look comfortable as his chin was to his chest. We’ve put it back in now as I didn’t feel safe letting him sleep with how it was. But he’s such a chunk so I’m not sure how long he should have the insert in as he completely fills it and can hardly move 🥴😅

Mine is 65cm and still has insert in as it supports him more. I’d put it back in for now x

It's worth finding out if you 'have to' take the insert out at 60cm or you just can. With most car seats its the latter. The group that Katie has linked above is great and will be able to give you some advice x

Thank you guys, I'll put it back in for now.

@Siobhan can you let me know if the Nuna ARRA reclines? I cannot work it out!

@Rosie there is a handle behind where the babies head is you hold and press that and pull the seat at the same time. You have to be pretty firm, I'd do it when the baby isn't in it until you're used to it.

Thanks a lot @Siobhan
