Loud music at a wedding - will baby be okay?

Hi all,

I'm 21 weeks pregnant and my husband and I are just home from a wedding. The music was quite loud and the room was quite small but I tried to stay out of the main area for a lot of the time while the band was playing. In total I think I was probably only in the room for about 30 minutes or so before we left but now that we're home my ears are ringing and I'm worried it will have caused damage to baby or cause issues with their hearing?

Can anyone provide any reassurance or have experience at a wedding with loud music, loud concert or night club/music venue when pregnant?

Any advice would be really appreciated as I'm totally panicking now.

Hi. I went to a stadium concert last weekend where there was loud music, I was 21 weeks then. I mentioned it to my midwife beforehand and she said it would be absolutely fine and not to worry 😊

I’m a DJ and I’m 23 weeks pregnant. I’ve been playing gigs weddings/bdays etc and plan to continue doing so though September. Baby can hear vibrations but you won’t hurt them.

I went to see Sam Fender last week at 23 weeks and my partner was panicking about it but honestly baby boy was kicking away during it so think he was having the time of his life 🤣 baby will be fine though 🥰

Maternity allowance

Hi guys! So I am currently on maternity leave with my boy and pregnant again, my maternity leave is almost over (I took the full 52 weeks off) so I am due back work soon! I have just had an email saying I’m not eligible for statuary maternity pay again and they are sending me a form to apply for maternity allowance! I would only be back at work for approx 6-8 weeks before going on maternity again! So I thought I would use my holidays instead of actually going back but the manager has actually refused them. What I’m wondering is, if I was to hand in my notice, would I still technically be eligible for maternity allowance and get the full amount or would it be the £27 a week? Because if I did do that, then they would obviously still have to pay me my holidays that I’m entitled to?

Change of religion when married.. advice please!

Hi all, my husband has very recently and out of the blue turned to Christianity (we were atheist). I’ve been super supportive, we’re speaking a lot about it, I’m reading the bible to understand. To be clear I don’t have an issue with it at all (I went to a Christian school, just wouldn’t say I’ve found Jesus myself 🤷🏼‍♀️).
I just wondered if anyone has been in a similar situation? What if I can’t come to the same conclusion and we end up not being of the same religion?

Really hoping someone’s gone through similar and may give me an idea of how it turned out please 🙏
