I wish I packed more knickers and pjs as I leaked and should’ve packed either maternity pads or Tena lady type pants as I didn’t quite believe when they said you’ll be bleeding lots after.. how bad it would actually be! 😳 x

I got C-section knickers, a nightie, I took body shop cooling spray ( helped as really hot and sweaty after), my own tea bags and snacks, water bottle so easy to reach and leave next to me in bed , loose dress to come home in as still had to wear the compression socks so easier than putting trousers on, an extra pillow or a breastfeeding pillow is useful to prob you up or hold baby on

If you’re in USA you need clothes on top of clothes because y’all may stay 2-3 days
I always say a long charge
Comfy slippers/slides
Whatever you use in the morning
The hospital will provide almost everything

Thanks everyone!!

this might be a daft question haha! What does the nanny mean next to white cardigan?🫣 Also, where do you get hospital notes from, will my midwife give me them? X

Sorry it’s a cardigan my Nan knitted for my first son she died last year and I want new baby to wear it in hospital maybe going home x and I’m in uk so we have a folder that we get when we find out we are pregnant that gets filled with notes of the pregnancy though out the pregnancy not sure if I have to bring it but it might be helpful just in case Xx

Avatar

aww🥺 I’m in UK too, I’ll need to ask my midwife about that because I’ve never seen a folder x

Avatar

Oh how far along are you? at my first scan I’m pretty sure they give me like a welcome folder with some pregnancy tablets in and some leaflets and as the pregnancy goes on they put all your paper work in x I’ll send you a photo when I go down to my car I keep it in there Xx Yh ask your midwife for sure with my last son aswel they had the same folders xx

How long were you in hospital for after your first C-section? I am having my first C-section next week and would be grateful of any advice or information. Thanks

Birth options

Hello! I am 16 weeks pregnant and I am finally able to start thinking about my birth now! I am so 50/50 between natural and c-section.

I would love to hear your thoughts!

What type of birth did you have Andrew you happy you chose it?

Or what type of birth are you looking to have?

Thank you so much Xxx

Royal London Hospital maternity Triage

Has anyone had any experience at the RLH maternity triage (6th floor) and if so, what was your experience like?

On two occassions I have been there regarding concerns with my health during this pregnancy and have had an unpleasent experience from the staff on the front desk, seems to be always one in particular where they have been dismissive with the sort of attitude like "why are you here" "we can't help you with that here" It's made me anxious about having to ever go there again, if need be. 🫤
