It’s recommended to start solids around 6 months when babies are showing all signs of readiness. Starting after age 1 would actually make things more difficult in terms of potential picky eating, and just learning all the skills of how to eat. Introducing food when the gag reflex is most sensitive is a protective mechanism against choking.
Is there a particular reason you’d like to do this or just curious?

Our first we mostly had him on formula and baby food until he was one, he's 4 now, and he's a super picky eater. Like it's been such a struggle and so stressful and still is....
Our second we started her on baby led weaning when she was 6 months and she's a great eater. She eats pretty much anything we put in front of her.

Solid starts is a great resource

I plan on exclusively breastfeeding my daughter until 1 year. My mother did it with me, and that's how all my aunts and cousins do it and how my grandmother raised all her children to do it. And we are all extremely healthy and thriving. Do what resonates with you the most and researching homeopathic methods are just as important as researching allopathic methods..
