5.5 month development

Just wondering if anyone else's baby was/is the same as mine! LO is 5.5 months old now, still a little wobbly with his head control, doesn't roll over but can roll onto his side from his back & can't really sit up, just slouches. He isn't bothered by toys really either unless I put them in his hand. Should I be concerned or is he just learning at a slower pace? Can't help but compare to my 2 year old who seemed to do everything quick I think!

I am seeing HV on Thursday for his 6 month check so wondering if anyone else has a baby who was a little behind but got there eventually in their own time? He was slow to gain weight for a while until 4 months old if that makes any difference?

I wouldn’t worry, my LO is just 5 months and also doesn’t sit yet neither is he close, he also slouches a little when sat on me and so neck control not strongest just yet.. I try to encourage tummy time as much as poss, he just started rolling one day and now into his stomach which I think helps with neck strength. I try to remind myself all babies develop at different paces x

Am I overreacting?

My LG goes to nursery 4 days a week (3 half days and 1 full day). We have to provide our own nappies and wipes and were told when they’re running out so we can restock, which is fine.

My issue is, the last few days, my LG has come home in a random nappy from a brand that isn’t hers and she’s started to become sore down there. When my partner brought it up to the baby room manager, her response was ‘oh well, babies are babies, it doesn’t matter and they pull them out the drawers’. For one, the drawers are high up as I’ve seen them so shouldn’t be getting pulled out and 2. If I’m providing nappies, use them because what if the persons nappies being used, can’t afford a lot?

We’ve had no issues with the nursery until this but I wonder if maybe I’m overreacting about it?

Car seats

I’m so sorry if this is a stupid question but I’ve just found out I’m pregnant with my 3rd baby. What happens with car seats in the back of the car? My other two are still in car seats they are nearly 4 & 2? Where will the new born car seat go? Am I being stupid?🤦🏽‍♀️😂😂😂

Visitors of newborn.

I’m feeling a bit anxious about having visitors after I get home from having my baby. I know a baby’s immune system is immature for the first 2 months of life and don’t want her to get any germs.

I am worried about family members turning up and not telling me their poorly like got a cough or viral thing. My question is has anyone ever visited your home and been poorly?

Visitors.

This will be my first C-section but third baby.

How long after your baby’s birth did you have a visitor ie close family like mum / dad /sister / brother?
