Scared…Anxiety…Depression…

I’m officially 1 month away from being due 10/1 but i feel like he can come at any moment.

After i finally organized baby’s things i got this sudden wave of anxiety and depression and just feeling scared…. Like this is actually about to be my reality. The baby wasn’t planned. I didn’t expect to have one at 25-26 years old. I feel like part of me might have never wanted kids because I had to raise my siblings and I didn’t have a childhood. I felt like i didn’t need to have them because in a way my siblings felt like my own. And now I’m about to give birth to my own child. I have to raise another kid. This time one of my own. It’s like reality hit out of no where. I was having fun with all the gifts of a baby shower and planning for my sons arrival that now that I’m all settled it’s kinda hit me that this is actually happening. I don’t feel ready. I feel like i won’t be a good mom. I feel like maybe it wasn’t my time. Maybe I shouldn’t be a mom. All these emotions just hit so hard and now I’m in sort of a panic mode. I’m scared i won’t do this right. I’m scared I’m going to lose myself. I’m scared this might break my relationship of 5 years.

I know no one is truly ready to have a child….but I’m truly scared to fail.

Girl I’m right there with you! Granted I didn’t have siblings to raise but the fear of failing as a mom is all too real as well as reality hitting that my life is about to change drastically. I’m due September 28th and I am so on edge. Im also 26 and thought I was gonna wait until I was at least 30 to have kids but here we are lol. It’s okay to be scared, I think it’s completely natural. Try to stay positive and know that once your little boy is in your arms you definitely won’t be feeling how you are right now. Becoming a mother is rediscovering who you are all over again, things will change of course but you’ll always be you ❤️

I think you will do great. 26 even though young is an age when you are more mentally mature.
If I had got pregnant at 26 I would have freaked out too but I would have been way more ready than I was at 20 for example.
I think those feelings are normal.
I'm 31, first baby, everything is ready, I desired a baby a lot and was looking forward to be a mom, and I'm a little scared too.
My husband is 35 and even though he has been extremely involved, he gets a little scared too. Lmao. The only experience we have with babies are the classes that we took. You'll do great!!

He’s my first as well🥹 i feel like for my age at 26 I’m very mature for my age since i had to grow up at a young age. I didn’t really have much of a childhood. For 26 I’m financially stable I have my own home my own car my own career and savings I’m able to fully support this kid and give him a wonderful childhood of course along with my partner. I was wanting to wait till i was in my late 28-30s to have my first. But my fear is being what my mom is. Unfortunately i didn’t have that good relationship with her and it was very toxic. I don’t want my child to not love me or hate me. But i also think of all the other responsibilities of keeping a child alive. I can barely do it with my dog lol (kidding) but still. It’s a thought that i have been having and now I’m stressed out and scared and i have all these fears in my mind. I’m excited and all other things but i really wasn’t expecting this so soon.

@Kassandra nooo you will be a great mom. Look at you, you are already stable at 26! That is big! You are more prepared than you think and more than that you care a lot!. I'm sure you will do waaaay better than your mom.

Mama you will do fine! Breathe and remember you are not alone! Everyone gets scared believe me! Even with this next one being my second child I’m anxious too! But everything happens for a reason and it’ll all work out just have faith honey ❤️ if you need message me!

I get overwhelmed and feel similarly too! This may not help much, but one thing I tell myself is that if the experience is horrible.. I don’t have to do it again 😂

I 100% understand your pre-mama jitters babe. I’m the eldest and I’ve also had to raise all my siblings too. When I had my first I was so sooo nervous mainly about if I would even be a good mom myself. But when I had him things instantly connected and I never thought twice I just knew I’d be an amazing mom. So that’s exactly how I know you’re going to be an amazing mom as well. You’re already experienced! I’m a firm believer in “everything happens for a reason” so this is your time to have a baby. And guess what, NONE of us ever truly feel ready! But we all figure it out along the way. Babies have no manual nor do they come with instructions and I have so much faith that you’ll figure it out like it’s an instinct. Breathe mama, you’re doing amazing! And try not to be so hard on yourself. ❤️❤️❤️

8 week immunisations

My 8 week old has his first set of injections tomorrow and I’m abit nervous. Does anyone have any advice for after the jabs? I know they get a temp after so have got some calpol to give just before hand. Should I put him to bed in less clothing to make sure he doesn’t get too hot? Any tips from your experience with first set of immunisations? Am I worrying more than I need to? 😅

11 month old constantly standing in cot

Please tell me someone has some advice for this cause wow it’s trying. My almost 11 month old is fully on the move now and his new favourite thing is repeatedly pulling to stand in his cot. The problem is that he wears a sleep sack (mainly so his legs don’t get stuck between the bars tbh lol) so he’s not stable enough to lower himself down. So earlier he fell backwards and hit is head and now we feel like we can’t just leave him to it. Typically it’s his first full day at nursery tomorrow and my first day back at work IT’S LIKE HE KNOWS!!
Please tell me someone has some tips. Currently we are quietly placing him back on his back every time but he just keeps doing it! 🤣🤡

Took 9 week old to a family party where there was loud music and she was next to the speaker for most of the time (about 3 hours). She slept through most of it. Do you think she has hearing loss from this?

Freaking out right now :(

Struggling in the 4 month regression

How are people getting out of the 4 month regression? I’ve been looking it up and it says I need to be trying to put him down drowsy but awake but this does not work for my LO. Every time we do this he ends up being wide awake and after almost an hour of trying we have to contact nap/rock to sleep. I want to avoid rocking to sleep because now when he wakes up in the night he needs to be rocked back to sleep which he never used to need.

Nights are constantly broken because we are up 2-3 times to rock him back to sleep. Please give me your tips on how to survive this and how to get out of this!! Constantly feel like I’m failing and doing something wrong
