UK C-Section mums - knickers!

Hi ladies
I’m preparing my hospital bag for c section - I’ve bought Frida mom c section disposables, I’m usually a size 10-12 and the only available size was regular - will these be ok straight after c section?

Also can you please post links to the best knickers you wore in the days/weeks after.. from Asda/M&S/Tesco/Sainsbury’s/Amazon help a girl out my brain is fried looking at them all! Also if you wore your usual size/ sized up etc

Thanks in advance xxxx

I used the always discreet boutique ones and they were unbelievably comfortable. Wore them for 2 week, and after that I wore my partners boxers for maybe another 2 weeks 😂😂 They were the only thing that I found I could pull up high enough away from my scar 😂

🤣 I thought you needed to wear pads for a few weeks after for bleeding -how does that work with the boxers or have I got that wrong?! 🫣😬

My other half wears pretty tight boxers, so they fit me pretty snug and the maternity pads fitted in there with no issues 😂

I also wore my partners boxers for the first few weeks. Game changer!

I completely agree with Jemima. I bought packs of the disposable ones and ended u preferring the M&S full briefs (I’m normally a 8/10 and sized up to 16). Best of luck!xxx

Thank you so much girlies!
I understand now about the boxers 😂 forgot about the tight fit ones, my husband wears the baggy loose ones so they wouldn’t work for me 😅 xxx

I got my big ones from matalan, they're the perfect fit, i think I'll wear then even after recovery 😆

These are the best. I’m still wearing them 4 weeks pp and bought more of them. https://amzn.eu/d/9cNfnMR I am normally a medium but in pregnancy went up to a large so got these in large. Perfect fit

For the immediate days after the c C-section though I wore these adult dipers lol it was great. Minimal effort which is what u want at that time. Tena Silhouette High Waist... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07YZQNQQT?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?

Reduced Movements

Has anyone else gone in for monitoring for reduced movements and as soon as you arrive at triage the baby starts moving and the CTG is normal? It makes me feel like I am over reacting.

2nd pregnancy after c section

I’m not planning on getting pregnant anytime soon but in the future possibly. I just wanted to know how is pregnancy after c section like my fear is having to go through another emergency operation or even putting strain on my incision during pregnancy

Baby Movements

Hello, I’m a FTM currently 18W5D pregnant. I’ve been getting this tugging feeling in my stomach after I eat, it’s uncomfortable but not painful. I don’t know whether that’s the baby moving or round ligaments pain.

I’ve also been getting round ligament pain which is either a sharp stabbing pain or a stretching sensation. These happens whether or not I’ve eaten while the tugging feeling is only after I’ve eaten.

So, could the tugging feeling be the baby or something else.

Labour

Think im a bit confused really, i went into traige as was having contractions eveey 3-5mins. Since being here im now having them every 2-3mins which was confirmed with the machine and i think the toco was 90-100 and they feel painful and my lower back is in loads of pain but apparently im only just over 2cm dilated maybe, she has said i can stay here for a bit longer to see if things progress as had a previous quick birth as well but i dont understand why the pains are coming this quick if im only 2cm dilated and feel a bit deflated from it also.

I had a sweep this morning also.
