My baby is 6 months on Monday.
I've just seen a post on here from someone who's 6 month old is crawling and pulling themselves up to stand and sitting unassisted.
My baby rolls very infrequently, hasn't laughed, hates tummy time but does it reluctantly and is not sitting yet. She does love to stand for ages with me holding her fingers, she has amazing hand eye coordination, she's smiley and excitable but I feel like she's now behind.
She isn't on solids yet as felt like she wasn't ready because of not being able to sit, but I'm going to just give them now as feel she follows me when I eat etc.
Am I doing something wrong? Have I not done enough to help her develop? What else can I do to encourage sitting and crawling etc. I can barely just make it through the day at the moment and I'm already struggling with everyday stuff on top of being exhausted!

My LO was six months yesterday she rolls over sometimes doesn’t sit by her self doesn’t like tummy time for to long either still on purée because I also felt like she wasn’t ready not being able to sit by herself I did find putting her in a gorilla like pose helps her sit unassisted for a minute or two just working on straighten her back

My lo is nearly 7 months and Sounds very similar to your baby. Please don't worry you're doing great as long as she's happy 😊

My little one will be 6 months in just a week she’s rolling from back to tummy constantly but can’t back over, we’re working on sitting she can sit for a minutes and falls over, and she’s just on purées

Don't worry! Your not doing anything wrong! My 6 month old girl can't sit unaided for long. She isn't really interested in food tbh either. They all get there in their own time xx

Seriously don't compare your child to others it'll drive you crazy.
A great example of this is just comparing by own two children at the same ages (they are 16m apart) my oldest didn't roll over frequently till around 7-8m. My youngest had been doing it intentionally and frequently since 4w. My oldest started standing around 5m and started walking holding fingers around 6, my youngest did that at 3m and 5m. My oldest didn't sit up well on his own till around 8m, my youngest is doing that at 5m. Etc.
Just check the cdc Milestones, if they are meeting those, then don't sweat about it. If they aren't, then talk to your doctor. However your babies process sounds good so far.

My baby girl didn't crawl until 9 months and sat unaided very badly at 6 months, for like 3 seconds max. She loved to stand like your little girl... every baby is different. Try not to stress. She'll do it when she's ready. Just put her on the floor a lot to do what she wants. Being on her back is fine as it'll give her the opportunity to roll if she wants to.xx
