Hey all - getting a bit concerned about my 15 month old's progression with gestures. I know they say aim for 16 gestures by 16 months but we counted today and we think he only has about 7 at the moment.
He doesn't really point and won't high five, blow kisses, do thumbs up, etc. Is anyone else in the same boat?
He's a bit of a funny little lad and won't sit and mimic us, if we do something he looks at us like we're crazy and then will randomly do it when HE wants to one day so find it really hard to teach him these things.

I was thinking the same, my son is 16 months this month and he isnt pointing, he doesn't thumbs up or nod, he can clap, tries to blow a kiss sometimes or puts his hand to his mouth for uh oh, raises his arms to come up, he has high fived a few times. He will sometimes do hands trying to convey where something is. He's waved a few times and can shake his head for no or his hands usually but at his 12 month he didn't have any concerns so I'm not really sure whether there should be any concerns now for what he isn't doing.
