Transition to bed won’t stay in bed

We’ve recently (1.5 weeks ago) transitioned our little boy into a new bedroom and a floor bed from a cot. He was doing fabulously until 3 nights ago and bed time is very hard. As soon as he goes down he’s up and at the baby gate for Atleast an hour, we land up having to stand in his room or sit on the floor and creep out. We’ve tried the minimal talk and very boring leading him back to bed which he does, but straight away he’s back out of bed and at the gate. Any advice and tips? He doesn’t appear upset like he’s not crying. He’s also started to not want to go into nursery whereas he loved it before. I’m wondering if it’s separation anxiety because he knows we’re having a baby soon or the heat? I have no idea. Finding the bed times really hard and he’s so tired in the day he’s moody and irritable.

I had this for about 2 weeks, as soon as I left the room when she was asleep in bed she would wake up and want me to go back and sit next to her. I don’t know if it was a coincidence and she just got used to the bed or whether her new mattress was too thin/ uncomfortable but I got her a double duvet and folded it in half ( she won’t sleep with it ontop) and she’s slept in it ever since with no problems🤷‍♀️

I’m worried about this, my LG is climbing out of her cot and I’m worried she won’t stay in a bed - she’s also just started to dislike nursery that’s she’s adored since the age of 1 - hard times

he’s been a lot better the past few nights so I think persevering and being consistent has helped. He still gets out once or twice once he’s put to sleep but stays in bed then until around 615/630 and then will get out quietly sit by his gate and wait for us!
Nursery was ok today but still isn’t keen on going in although he’s fine once he’s in the room. This is so common, we can do this x

Thanks for the update, I think we will give it a go in a few weeks, she’s just started potty training which she’s done so well with, so think this will be next. Glad nursery is getting better, I tried to save some money and took her out while my older son was off school so she got out of the routine, but as you say it’s getting easier - soon this will be a distant memory & we will have the next thing - I love this chat as makes me feel like I’m not alone. Thanks xxx

8 week immunisations

My 8 week old has his first set of injections tomorrow and I’m abit nervous. Does anyone have any advice for after the jabs? I know they get a temp after so have got some calpol to give just before hand. Should I put him to bed in less clothing to make sure he doesn’t get too hot? Any tips from your experience with first set of immunisations? Am I worrying more than I need to? 😅

11 month old constantly standing in cot

Please tell me someone has some advice for this cause wow it’s trying. My almost 11 month old is fully on the move now and his new favourite thing is repeatedly pulling to stand in his cot. The problem is that he wears a sleep sack (mainly so his legs don’t get stuck between the bars tbh lol) so he’s not stable enough to lower himself down. So earlier he fell backwards and hit is head and now we feel like we can’t just leave him to it. Typically it’s his first full day at nursery tomorrow and my first day back at work IT’S LIKE HE KNOWS!!
Please tell me someone has some tips. Currently we are quietly placing him back on his back every time but he just keeps doing it! 🤣🤡

Took 9 week old to a family party where there was loud music and she was next to the speaker for most of the time (about 3 hours). She slept through most of it. Do you think she has hearing loss from this?

Freaking out right now :(

Bedtime

What time are you getting your LOs down for the night now and how are you finding bedtime? We’ve had the sane routine since my daughter was a few weeks old - bath with her older sister and 6.45, followed by a bottle and ideally in bed by 7.30. This worked at first but over the last few weeks she’s been fighting it a lot and, with the exception of a few days last week which were a lot easier, it’s a bit of a battle to get her down and features a lot of screaming and resettling. Not sure if we are putting her down too early or late? Her last nap is usually a cat nap (30-45 mins) and finishes by 6. She’s pretty good at settling herself from a night feed, but seems to be unable to do it at bedtime, even with her dummy.
