Relationship challenges

My fiancé and I are having troubles lately…. Can’t seem to stop arguing which is exhausting and really upsetting. And sometimes it’s even in front of the little one which is no good. We’re finally going to try to see a counselor.

Anyone else having relationship challenges?

They say the first year with a child is the most challenging for your relationship & I 1000% agree. I’ve definitely had my share of troubles with my partner since having our little one.

I think you’re always going to have challenges but I’ve learned to argue only over the stuff that matters. I’ve had to bite my tongue and just say this isn’t worth the argument so we can talk when we’re both being civil because tension is only created when your mad and it never solves anything. Have a side talk and tell him you’re both adapting to life changes and you have to work together and not against each other. Tell him it’s not only for y’all but especially for the baby, and neither can be your best for baby when your stressed and aggravated. Make sure you’re always talking and communicating respectfully. At the end of the day ask each other hey was there anything about today that I could have done better or something I need to work on and then tell him the same thing for him what he done or didn’t do that bothered you but most importantly tell each other what you did right and give praise for that. Even the small things like taking out the trash, tell him thank you for that

And you appreciate him helping clean up. Or when he helps with the baby or does things around the house. Anything always give kudos to each other and it makes you feel better and insinuates you to do it more. That’s really helped on my relationship. I’ve learned men are simple minded and they need structure on being told what to do so I make a list of things I would like done and things that needs done and we both work on it on our own time and that helps given specific duties.!

My husband and I are going through the exact same thing & I was desperate to figure out what to do. The best advice I received is to talk with your husband and write down 3 things you think he needs to work on & 3 things he thinks you need to work on. This will help explain what you mean and try to explain your feelings

Maternity allowance

Hi guys! So I am currently on maternity leave with my boy and pregnant again, my maternity leave is almost over (I took the full 52 weeks off) so I am due back work soon! I have just had an email saying I’m not eligible for statuary maternity pay again and they are sending me a form to apply for maternity allowance! I would only be back at work for approx 6-8 weeks before going on maternity again! So I thought I would use my holidays instead of actually going back but the manager has actually refused them. What I’m wondering is, if I was to hand in my notice, would I still technically be eligible for maternity allowance and get the full amount or would it be the £27 a week? Because if I did do that, then they would obviously still have to pay me my holidays that I’m entitled to?

Change of religion when married.. advice please!

Hi all, my husband has very recently and out of the blue turned to Christianity (we were atheist). I’ve been super supportive, we’re speaking a lot about it, I’m reading the bible to understand. To be clear I don’t have an issue with it at all (I went to a Christian school, just wouldn’t say I’ve found Jesus myself 🤷🏼‍♀️).
I just wondered if anyone has been in a similar situation? What if I can’t come to the same conclusion and we end up not being of the same religion?

Really hoping someone’s gone through similar and may give me an idea of how it turned out please 🙏
