Has anyone seen this before? My baby has multiple white spots on her brand new teeth.
When I was little I remember people used to say this was a lack of calcium, we also used to say this of white stains on nails but it might very well be urban legend like many other tales we grown up with. Besides, how could a baby that is almost exclusively formula fed possibly have a lack of calcium? Any ideas?

Sorry just commenting cause my Bub is the same x

Hey it’s something called hyper-mineralisation or fluorosis it can be caused by a few things high fluoride content in drinking water or if the mum or baby had to take antibiotics through pregnancy or after birth. It isn’t a calcium deficiency so not to worry and is it not an issue at all x

When I spoke to my dentist they told me to only use a small amount ( fingernail size) of toothpaste when brushing lo teeth otherwise it can cause white spots on their teeth 🤷🏼♀️

Thank you both, I’ll have this checked asap!

My little boy has the same!

So we went to the dentist and they said it’s nothing. But I’m not reassured at all because she has also now two broken teeth… 2 out of 6 teeth this just doesn’t seem right!

Hi just wondering how your little one is? I've noticed my 6 months old teeth are the same

Hi, we haven’t seen another dentist yet but things have not gotten much worse. She has two chipped teeth and the white stains are more or less visible on different days, but thankfully there’s no evolution so far.
