Should I be worried?

My LO just turned 1 last week. I know there’s plenty of time for them to walk yet but I’m feeling a bit concerned about the length of time it is taking considering he has been able to pull himself up and cruise walk around furniture by the time he had just turned 8 months. I thought he would be walking by his first birthday for sure.

It’s been literally months of cruising, now one handed for balance only and he can stand for 10-15 seconds before falling. Is this a cause for concern?

Thanks!

My son is the same - had been cruising for months, and has taken a couple of hesitant steps, but hasn't quite got the confidence to try charging forwards by himself yet. I wouldn't be concerned - I have a couple of friends with slightly older babies. One started walking at 14 months and the other at 18 months. They all get there at their own pace. Keep practicing with him & he'll be running off before you know it ❤️

Mine is 13months, cruises everywhere but no sign of walking!! Don’t worry they aren’t behind, they all do stuff differently, my best mate had a baby same time, he’s walking but can’t clap wave high-five etc, but mine can but doesn’t walk!

No, if he can bare weight on his legs and move around it’s just a matter of confidence and time. Don’t worry, at 12 months it’s not a cause for concern, but I understand if he was doing everything else early you started to overthink. You wrote that he progressed to cruising holding onto things with just one hand now so he is getting there.

No my son could stand up on his own without holding anything at 11 months and is now 13 months and only has started taking a couple of steps, one day they ll just go. Xx

Not at all. The average time for babies to start walking is between 13 and 15 months, he's got loads of time still. And even if he does it later than the average baby doesn't necessarily mean something is wrong :)

8 week immunisations

My 8 week old has his first set of injections tomorrow and I’m abit nervous. Does anyone have any advice for after the jabs? I know they get a temp after so have got some calpol to give just before hand. Should I put him to bed in less clothing to make sure he doesn’t get too hot? Any tips from your experience with first set of immunisations? Am I worrying more than I need to? 😅

11 month old constantly standing in cot

Please tell me someone has some advice for this cause wow it’s trying. My almost 11 month old is fully on the move now and his new favourite thing is repeatedly pulling to stand in his cot. The problem is that he wears a sleep sack (mainly so his legs don’t get stuck between the bars tbh lol) so he’s not stable enough to lower himself down. So earlier he fell backwards and hit is head and now we feel like we can’t just leave him to it. Typically it’s his first full day at nursery tomorrow and my first day back at work IT’S LIKE HE KNOWS!!
Please tell me someone has some tips. Currently we are quietly placing him back on his back every time but he just keeps doing it! 🤣🤡

Took 9 week old to a family party where there was loud music and she was next to the speaker for most of the time (about 3 hours). She slept through most of it. Do you think she has hearing loss from this?

Freaking out right now :(

Struggling in the 4 month regression

How are people getting out of the 4 month regression? I’ve been looking it up and it says I need to be trying to put him down drowsy but awake but this does not work for my LO. Every time we do this he ends up being wide awake and after almost an hour of trying we have to contact nap/rock to sleep. I want to avoid rocking to sleep because now when he wakes up in the night he needs to be rocked back to sleep which he never used to need.

Nights are constantly broken because we are up 2-3 times to rock him back to sleep. Please give me your tips on how to survive this and how to get out of this!! Constantly feel like I’m failing and doing something wrong
