How do I make it stop?!?!?!

I’m so tired of this every single night. I put my son to bed at around 8:30-9 , he typically has one maybe two naps a day depending on when he wakes up in the morning. Naps don’t last very long, at max he will nap for like 1 hour and 45 minutes or just an hour before he wakes up. He gets a lot of his energy out during the day too, I try and do daily walks with him. Some days we don’t go for a walk if I’ve been busy or it’s bad weather. Even after all this he will still wake up. It gets worse and worse every single night. Yesterday he woke up every 30 minutes to hour. It doesn’t matter what I do he still wakes up and screams his head off for no reason. Tonight has been even worse than the night before I’m loosing my mind with this child. I’m at the point that I’m going to have him in the other room and make him cry it out. I hate it because it’s horrible, yet I’m tired of getting up and down up and down 300 times every 45 minutes because he refuses to lay down and sleep. His dad doesn’t do a damn thing to help with him and when I’m left to do it all I’m so pissed off with the endless amounts of getting up. I’m so exhausted I don’t know what the hell I’m even doing wrong. I swear I feel like my child hates me and wants me to be miserable .

I know he is teething , but I always give him something for it, and yet he will still wake up. I give him a bottle and he refuses it too. I will try and play the music from his swing from when he was smaller and it doesn’t do anything, I’ve tried so much and I don’t know what to do anymore. This has been ongoing for like a month. He used to sleep the whole night and never had a problem.

🩷🩷🩷 we went through the same thing recently and her doc suggested DAD go in and get her. It was only me every night until 12 months when it was mentioned. She said it would help with change of routine and it did. Even now at 16 months she will sometimes get up but if I get her she won't let me lay her back in her bed. Only works with him. I hope you're able to convince him to help you even to just try it out. You need rest!

The other thing that helped was we offered her more food throughout the day. I thought maybe she hadn't been eating enough. It seemed to help a bit too.

I hope you find relief for you and your Lil man's sake. 🩷🩷🩷

My son is 16 months and has never slept through the night. 4 hours max usually now and then he wakes more frequently if I don’t bring him in my bed. But he did have the “45-min intruder” when he was very little and he woke every 45 min for a week. He got his teeth extremely early so it may have been related to teething

he refuse to get him out of the crib or really do anything when it comes to bed time. I’ve tried and tried to get him to do something, yet he never budges. He always says it’s because he works early in the morning and he isn’t gonna get up because he can’t get him to sleep. Last night he brought little man to the bed with us and he slept the whole time . We live in a one bedroom and soon we will be living with his mom because we fell behind in paying rent and now we are getting the boot.
I’ve come to think it maybe has been food too and I try and keep him fed a lot too, he always eats so much and I feel like he gets enough because he will stop eating when I give him more and just throw it

Thank you for the tips!

Our baby had some similar issues a month or so back. We cut her back to one nap a day and that seemed to help.
Also, she wanted me to put her to bed until she suddenly didn't. Dad had to step in because she just wasn't having me anymore.
Baby still cries a little when we leave the room, about 5 minutes before she goes back to bed (floor bed). If she isn't asleep in 10 minutes, we go in with a snack and try again.
Hope this helps, best wishes!

I try to only do a max of two naps a day. He only does one though because the days I work he won’t really take a nap for longer than 30 minutes with who watches him for us. So days like that is when he gets 2 naps. He sees dad as play time when it comes to going to bed, the only time he will go to bed for dad is when he is bed sharing with us and j don’t want to be doing that since we won’t have a bed to sleep in soon. We are moving back into his moms and I’ll more than likely be on a small air mattress while my fiancé is in the recliner and it’s not safe for him to be on an air mattress or in a recliner. I’ll definitely try the snack. What snacks do you usually give her so I can have a general list of stuff?

Our go-to snacks for bedtime is a banana or an apple sauce pouch, with some milk 👍

I’ll definitely have to try that tonight, we have apple sauce and when I go to work tomorrow I can pick up some bananas for him. Hopefully it helps out! Thank you.

I'm sorry you're getting no help 😔 well, if you're for safely co-sleeping some nights when you need rest, maybe it would be good for the both of you. Our girl definitely sleeps the best when she sleeps with me, but I don't sleep well when she's with us. I'm a worry wart. Haha

we are able to safely co sleep with him which is helpful. I co slept with him until he was around 5 and a half months old because he refused to be on his bassinet. There was some nights where he would have a small stretch in his bassinet. He didn’t start doing well until he transitioned in his crib and he was doing great with it. I’m going to try one of the comments and give him a snack and see how it helps out and if he will be able to calm down, just until I can call his pediatrician and schedule him an appointment to see if there is something that could be going on. I’d rather be safe than sorry really. I can relate to worrying with co sleeping. I really sleep in one position anymore because I’m pregnant and it’s hard to get comfortable anymore lol

Give us an update if you want if you find some relief! 🩷🩷🩷 and congrats on the pregnancy too!

definitely will, I’m hoping tonight will be smoother since he didn’t have a nap and I’ll definitely be giving him a snack with some milk to help out.
Thank you! I just hit 31 weeks today! I’m so ready to have her!💕💕

Do you feed him a big dinner at night? Maybe he’s hungry. Our babies are growing everyday. Just a thought. I hope you get the rest and peace you need love. I’m sorry. It won’t last forever🤞🏾

you could be right on this one, we don’t really meal plan like most families do, he always gets fed plenty during the day, between fruits and veggies and proteins he’s been on the right track with his diet, I do have a doctors appointment scheduled for tomorrow since I just want to see what they also have to say about the situation. We are moving into my fiancés mom so I’ll have more time on my hands to meal plan and such since I do enjoy cooking I just never have energy when I get off work and I have no one to watch him during the times I would like to cook dinner, the dad doesn’t get off work until 4:30 so it’s late afternoon when we are all home. My schedule at work is always changing it’s not a consistent schedule where I know when to go in and when to leave it’s a week to week basis I have and he’s on a permanent schedule shift. Thank you for the comment I do appreciate it!

I would try putting him to bed earlier. 8:30/9 is pretty late for his age. Sometimes they wake a lot at night when they are overtired.

8 week immunisations

My 8 week old has his first set of injections tomorrow and I’m abit nervous. Does anyone have any advice for after the jabs? I know they get a temp after so have got some calpol to give just before hand. Should I put him to bed in less clothing to make sure he doesn’t get too hot? Any tips from your experience with first set of immunisations? Am I worrying more than I need to? 😅

11 month old constantly standing in cot

Please tell me someone has some advice for this cause wow it’s trying. My almost 11 month old is fully on the move now and his new favourite thing is repeatedly pulling to stand in his cot. The problem is that he wears a sleep sack (mainly so his legs don’t get stuck between the bars tbh lol) so he’s not stable enough to lower himself down. So earlier he fell backwards and hit is head and now we feel like we can’t just leave him to it. Typically it’s his first full day at nursery tomorrow and my first day back at work IT’S LIKE HE KNOWS!!
Please tell me someone has some tips. Currently we are quietly placing him back on his back every time but he just keeps doing it! 🤣🤡

Took 9 week old to a family party where there was loud music and she was next to the speaker for most of the time (about 3 hours). She slept through most of it. Do you think she has hearing loss from this?

Freaking out right now :(

Bedtime

What time are you getting your LOs down for the night now and how are you finding bedtime? We’ve had the sane routine since my daughter was a few weeks old - bath with her older sister and 6.45, followed by a bottle and ideally in bed by 7.30. This worked at first but over the last few weeks she’s been fighting it a lot and, with the exception of a few days last week which were a lot easier, it’s a bit of a battle to get her down and features a lot of screaming and resettling. Not sure if we are putting her down too early or late? Her last nap is usually a cat nap (30-45 mins) and finishes by 6. She’s pretty good at settling herself from a night feed, but seems to be unable to do it at bedtime, even with her dummy.
